SL2-S or save for a SL3/-S?
I think the best deal in the Leica world is to buy the penultimate model of a good used camera. As an M11 user, which is my main camera, I had the same needs as you and bought an SL2-S with a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 and I think it's fantastic. The SL3-3 is a bit lighter and more compact, but when you us

Talk me into/out of an SL
I've tried a SL3s with a few lenses, but sold everything in favour for a Leica M. The SL stuff was too heavy for me.

Leica must make a Q inspired L-mount camera
Any SL body is neither "a little bit bigger", nor similar in weight to the Q. It's twice as big and twice as heavy (given the Q has a lens sticked to it). Current Q3 is 770gr w/ battery. Brand New SL3 Test Run: Unedited
I took a dedicated weekend trip to my nearest Leica store (about 5 hours drive away) as I’d arranged a 48 hour loan of the SL3 to test it as a possible next system for my studio. I’m very experienced with mirrorless, having used Fujifilm since the X-T1 was released, and now with the X-H2. The store

Who is the SL3 for?
Great summary. In fact I agree with most of what is said here. I'm on the fence about my sl3-s. I shot canon for decades but 10 years ago got an M10. I all but stopped using the canon (and all the glass I'd accumulated over the years!) Every once in a while I'd need to take a shot that the M couldn'

Why Leica?
I've never understood the drive to buy an SL to be honest. I've tried the SL3 with some lenses and it just felt like using a Sony/Canon but with a Leica menu system/UI. Just as heavy (if not more!), and without the drive on technology advancements you get from the big makers either - the likes of th
