The “small” camera with the best manual focus experience right now is the Nikon zf. I’m a Q3 43 and SL3 shooter and the fact that Leica didn’t implement any focus aids other than magnification and focus peaking in this new M is dumbfounding.

The SL2 was CMOS, but SL2s and SL3 are BSI. Current rumors suggest the 44.3MP sensor will be based on the hardware in the upcoming Panasonic S1R II. Leica does tweaks. Also only mentions of better AF; I want better noise.

Great summary. In fact I agree with most of what is said here. I'm on the fence about my sl3-s. I shot canon for decades but 10 years ago got an M10. I all but stopped using the canon (and all the glass I'd accumulated over the years!) Every once in a while I'd need to take a shot that the M couldn'
