What is considered a "professional camera"?

I love it that I could bring a Leica Q3, but not an old Canon Rebel. :)

Ricoh GRIII -> Leica Q2 -> Ricoh GRIV

I’m not sure I understand this post. If you need a wider depth of field, don’t shoot at F1.7. I have a Q3 and a GR IV, I can tell you the Leica sensor, as you might expect from a full frame sensor at its price point, is incomparably better than the Ricoh in low light scenarios. For the scenario you’

Q3 43 vs Fuji X100VI

TLDR version: I own both. Buy the Q3 43, it costs more but that’s because it’s much, much better. I wanted a decent quality, carry everywhere camera - better image quality and better ergonomics than an iPhone but lighter than a Z8 with lens. I’d previously had an X100T, but had never really got on w

Would you choose the Fujifilm X100VI for the film simulations over the Leica Q3 43 ?

I’ll be real with you. On this sub you’ll probably get a ton of answers like the ones you’ve already got from people that have never shot Fuji or the x100. I have a Q3 and an X100vi (and an R5, not relevant only to say I have experience in many systems and I’m not biased). Since I got the x100vi I h

Why Leica?

Two things really. in a world where everything is made to the cheapest possible standards, everything breaks quickly, everything is getting smaller etc, I always seek out proper, made to last, well built items. I just love the robustness, weight, quality and care taken on Leica cameras. the experien

Last few frames I took before selling my X100vi

Hard agree. It is the only compact camera with ibis, log footage and nd filter. Cameras like the Sony 1xr3 and Leica Q3 don't combine all of these things. It is the only REAL compact hybrid camera. Plus, it has an OVF and the conversion lenses are great.

GR IV no issues at all, IMO Great build quality after 10K shots, carrying it daily.

After owning countless Nikon DSLRs, Canon, Sony and Fuji cameras, I now have a Leica Q3 which I love, but still find it quite big and heavy. I’ve been looking for something truly pocketable which produces excellent images and the GR iv looks perfect. Almost bought a GR iii but the dust issue and poo

The OG Leica Q in 2026?

It’s my favorite of the bunch by a lot (well I prefer qp styling). It has great colors, more Leica look. Faster operation and better low light than the q2. Much lighter than the q3. Cheap batteries shares OEM with Panasonic and sigma. What’s not to like?

Does anyone buy Lumix L10 over Fujifilm X100VI?

Honestly it’s not overpriced these days, and you don’t need every camera to be a video sleeper. And the term compact these days seems to be X100, S9, Leica Q3 sized cameras. I love my s9, but if you must have a viewfinder and want a ‘compact’ all in one camera with one, you really only have the L10,

Trying to get back into photography, torn between the Fuji X100VI and the Leica Q

If budget isn’t a concern, the Q is a better camera in every way except size (it’s bigger than the Fuji). I have both and love them but Leica nailed it with the Q (I have the Q3 43). It’s incredibly capable and shoots beautiful images while being a pleasure to use. The Leica app is also the best app
