I’d keep the xt-5, but if you must buy a Leica go for a Q2 or a Q3. I own and use three M bodies and they are not more compact, lighter, or convenient to carry or use than the XT5. They’re also harder to use. I mention this only because sometimes people get a vision of a camera in their minds that i

Well decided to buy the dlux8 and sell my new Q3 28

Nothing is off. If you read my progression it went 1 bought my first Leica the dlux8 and returned it with the 30 day period realizing I like the brand. 2 bought a q3 28 and wasn’t sure if the 28 versus the 43. Then traveling with the Q I realised it was too heavy for my tastes. So in the end I’ve go

First rumors about a new Nikon compact full-frame fixed lens camera - Nikon Rumors

I would love to see a Coolpix A in 2026. I expect this to be chunky like the Sony rx1 and Leica q3. Hopefully it is in the 3k range and not 5-7k.

The Q isn’t compact by any means. It’s basically a mirrorless body with a permanent lens attached to it. The X100VI is much smaller and easier to just take with you. But the crown goes to the Ricoh GR series. I’ve never had the original Q but I did have the Q3 and the Fujifilm X100VI. The Fujifilm f

Psychological dilemma after getting a compact camera?

Except that is an 1” sensor which a lot of people say is not good for photography. A lot of people can suck it. If you're not a working professional whose clients are complaining, and you like the Powershot, you should know that modern 1" sensors are able to produce quite decent images. I'd check Fl

lot of suggestions to get a Q, but be aware these are not particularly compact. Lovely cameras but a similar size to your XT5. I don't think any Leica's really fit what you are looking for. A Q3 focal length is a little wide (its 28mm its but not a standard 28mm and more like a 24mm I'd say) not ide

Thinking about switching to monochrome.

Lowlight, better tonality, nice “analog” noise even on insanly high ISO - this is why YES. If none of these are important, than I think common GR might suite better, because as someone mentioned, Ricoh colors are so nice and you can still convert, or shoot BW jpegs. I traded Leica Q3 for this Ricoh
