The discussion at 15:40 about how mini-led manufacturers tune their backlight is a very important topic. He calls the two common methods Highlight biased dimming and Shadow biased dimming in the video. Highlight biased causes the kind of blooming everyone is familiar with, where the glow of a bright

It's a bit disappointing that basically everybody doing reviews of miniled monitors mentions blooming but never inverse blooming, which is a way bigger problem in my experience especially with miniled IPS. I tried the KTC m27p6 for about 3 weeks and it's a big problem with the monitor. Anytime you h

I have both at the moment, and also the M27P6. I’ve been testing them for hours now and tbh I’m leaning towards the AOC. First I compared the G4ZMN with the T6, expecting the T6 to be better since it has a higher HDR certification, but no. The G4ZMN was brighter and could hold color at higher bright

Same experience here, ordered a ktc m27p6 and Gigabyte Mo27u2 to compare, ended up returning the ktc. Miniled looks better in bright daylight scenes with HDR as it can get much brighter and it doesnt suffer from vrr flicker, but other than its not even close. Localdimming also doesnt work well in SD

MSI E16M is the worst of all, TCL 27R94 have bad LD algorIthm, the old 27R83U is better, AOC have EOTF problem till now, KTC M27P6 blooming, the only good regulated under 400EUR from all that I have see and test is the underrated KTC M27T6, I say underrated because is 1440p and usually everybody spe

Part of the reason why KTC / Titan Army etc is so cheap is because of QA - I assume they don't reject panels at all, my M27P6 is also nowhere near perfect and has a bleeding spot at the bottom left. I don't recommend turning on local dimming in desktop however because the algorithms are more tuned t

if it makes you feel better a lot of the ones that do exist have pretty shit firmware that can actually make it look worse instead of better when you use dimming. (msi e16m, ktc m27p6)

i just got the msi mag e16m. ask me anything. its not great as theres something wrong with the way local dimming works and you have to screw with the settings to mostly fix it, after tweaks the horrible LD artifacts are gone and color/brightness is roughly in line with my old monitor, but the dimmin

I had the Q27G3XMN as well as the KTC M27P6 (4k IPS w/miniLED version of that same monitor). The AOC and KTC are very good monitors in their own right. Panels are solid, color coverage is great, but you're paying $100 extra for dimming zones you might use in a handful of games. In movies, sure, extr

KTC M27T6, even if I don't like VA panels is an underrated miniled monitor because is 1440p, minor blooming, good LD algorithm and color gamut. Much better than IPS 4K M27P6, or MSI E16M.
