I currently have the Krk Rokit 5 G3's (since 2014). I'm looking for new studio speakers.

Yeah, the Krk Rokit G3's are bass based but won't the Genelecs just be better in the bass and be deeper? And just have more true bass instead of colored bass? Or a sub is needed for a nice bass experience?

Happiest with my sound I've ever been, but...

Which headphones specifically (along with ohms) are you using? I tried to play tonex one pedal through my single KRK Rokit 5 G3 monitor and it sounded completely muffled, dark, flubby, muddy and as if thick wet blanket is on the speaker.

Using a single KRK Rokit 5 g3 (not pair), it sounds very very very muffled, flabby, dark, muddy as if tone knob is completely rolled off, not enough gain even with mes

Help with Muddy and boxy sound

I have tonex one pedal and I plug it directly into a single (not pair) KRK Rokit 5 g3 monitor speaker using a TS to TS mono cable. It's super muddy, flabby and as if wet blanket on speaker. I've tried captures from many good companies like Amalgam, Studio rats, choptones, tone junkie and also over 2
