TIL Kobo the ebook, audiobooks, and e-reader company started in Canada and its HQ is in Toronto
Kobo also isn't actively against it's reading demographic. I'm happy to spend so much money from the daily deals, bookbub, and use my Google rewards on books from the Google store. Bonus points for them allowing library rentals through the Libby app because everything I just mentioned is not possibl

Kobo has overdrive support (Libby) and works with the WA libraries service :). I have a Kobo Clara Colour and I think it's great. It's $269 at JB. Just be aware that there can be longish wait times for renting an ebook if it's popular (they often only have a licence to rent out a few copies at a tim

Amazon to end support for older Kindles, prompting user outcry
I can't stand Bezos anymore and I try to boycott Amazon whenever possible. I gave up my Kindle and bought a Kobo Clara and buy epub books from Kobo store or 3rd party ebook vendors. Upload is really just copy and paste into the Clara. So far I haven't missed my Kindle once and can only recommend the

My partner and I love our Kobo e-readers! She has an older Clara 2E and she just bought me a Clara Colour for my birthday. Apart from not wanting to buy from Amazon, these are much better devices in my opinion than Kindles!

Another vote for Kobo from me! I have a Kobo Clara Colour and it's excellent. Kobo devices link up to Libby whereas Kindles do not, which is why I made the switch. If you're open to reading on a phone/tablet too- there are other services aside from Libby such as Hoopla and BorrowBox, which give you

X4 owners, where you getting your books from?
I download my Kobo books and process them in Calibre with the DeDRM plugin. Kobo Clara is still my main ereader at home and at night, so the X4 just travels in my bag.

I’m seriously considering the Kobo Clara Color right now. I’ve always loved my Signature Edition but Amazon is pretty clear that they don’t care about readers.

Should I get Kobo or Kindle?
It depends on what you read and how tbh. I have both and use them equally as much. I have a Kobo Clara Colour and a Kindle PWS. Kobo Pros: Libby/overdrive (what I use this device mostly for) ease of adjusting screen light stats on the device color screen for when I need it the size is pristine for f

Getting this error message with my Kindle
i've got a kobo libre colour, moved from kindle and it's been great, use calibre for everything for managing it and moving files over. About to buy my wife the kobo clara colour to get her off the kindle stuff as well.
