I'm pulling the triger tonight, which do you recommend?
Kobo clara bw. It might be more expensive than the kindle basic but it's waterproof and has warm light and the kindle basic doesn't have those. You might also wait a couple of days and see if it will get any discounts.

Need an E-Reader but not break the bank
You’re Canadian? Kobo is in Toronto. Just a note. But more importantly, the devices are repairable and well built, plus the policies are pretty user-friendly. (Price matching, returns, downloadable for backup, etc.) I’d only avoid Kobo if you routinely switch between devices (phones/ereaders/tablets

Kindle Basic (2024) or Kobo Clara BW? Which one has a better screen?
Kobo Clara is the much nicer device imo, with the benefit of also avoiding Amazons aggressive anti-consumerism

Kobo v kindle
Which kobos or kindles are you looking at? Kobo clara bw isn't much expensive than the kindle basic and it's also waterproof and has warm light which the basic doesn't have, so you're getting extra features. Best e-reader for a child that is good for graphic novels
I would highly recomend the Kobo Libra or Clara colour ereaders. They are great quality, and reasonably priced. You can connect to Overdrive which has graphic novels through the library so heaps of free books too.

ereader suggestions??
I would recommend the Kobo Clara colour, I absolutely love mine. I’ve had it for about it two weeks now and it’s been great, I also don’t buy books I mainly just read from Libby. They have an option of white or black and it’s also $159! However, I would suggest doing your research to make sure that

Looking into Getting an EReader
I like my Kobo (Kobo Clara Colour) and find it very easy to add books to it, both from the library and through sources like Project Gutenberg. And download my Clarkesworld (science fiction magazine) issues to it. I used to have a Kindle. I don't like being forced to support Amazon. The Kobo is inten

What Should I buy???
You can use the XTEINK if you have access to a PC. There's a free program called Calibre which will let you remove DRM from books. That way you could still buy them from like, Kobo, and then do what you gotta to get it on the reader of your choice. If you don't feel like it, I've had a Kobo Clara Co
