Hum from new pre-amp

I mean, the speakers are a good enough match your LP60X, so if you're not going to change the TT, I wouldn't bother with the speakers. They're perfectly fine, entry-level powered speakers. They aren't great, but certainly miles ahead of anything that is in a suitcase player. That said, this is my "s

My Crt Stereo setup

Hi!, I think the projector you are talking about is actually just my amp lol. So in this case they are passive speakers powered by the amp, and I just use one of the RCA inputs on the amp. They do make active speakers that do this though, for example one that comes to mind is the "Klipsch The Nines.

New system 3.0 / 3.1 / 2.1

A pair of Klipsch The Sevens or The Nines and a sub. You’re done. Audiophile? No. What you’re looking for? Yes.

Accidently purchased both Klipsch The Sevens and The Nines, and need help deciding which to keep and which to return.

It’ll be subjective in terms of which sound signature you prefer. Unless a speaker’s response is broken at the design level, it distorts or your room / placement is a nightmarescape you need to treat or move around, there’s not a whole lot of objectivism in Speaker A over Speaker B unless you want a

Lovely room. Agree with much of the advice given but speaker upgrading to properly load or pressurize that big room is the first step for sure. Bringing speakers out from walls can be a hard thing to do because it can screw up room aesthetics. This is avoided somewhat if a ported speaker is ported o

Advice for speaker upgrades

So the speakers you have are powered monitors and it looks like they currently retail for about $700 a pair. I do not know much about powered speakers, but generally you are not going to get a huge night and day difference going up a few hundred $s, unless you consider the used market. That said, it

Boxes kept?

Thanks for all the input. Seems like I’ll keep the box broken down and I’ll cover to protect in plastic. Several of you asked. They are Klipsch The Nines. Read good reviews on them and they worked for the budget and needs.

advice for a beginner audiophile

A GREAT starting point for getting your feet wet for a minimal outlay would be Klipsch The Nines and a WiiM streamer for AirPlay. Trust me here! My reference system is pushing 60k and for less than 2k The Nines defy all expectations of what a powered speaker can do. I was completely blown away when

Anyone got any recommendations for good turntable system?

In this Case, how much do you want to spent? Technics SL100C and Klipsch the nines plus stands would make a great 2500$ investment
