How important is the grinder?

Grinder is the most important piece of equipment you need to make good coffee. Second in the process only to the beans themselves. If your grinder sucks, your coffee will suck. If you’re not making espresso you don’t necessarily need a k6, but it’s generally considered best bang for your buck. Get a

No more €2.50 coffees at Circle K

Just to be that cunt, you can have your own coffee setup that works pretty much on the go, for less than €100, and every new cup will cost you around 50c in beans and electricty for the water, and is going to be better than about 90% of the coffee you get out there. Get yourself a hand grinder, the

Hello! I am new and I recently was gifted a machine and want to take it a bit father. For $100 budget what would you guys buy next? A better grinder? Non pressurized basket? Thanks!

You can still get , last I checked, a kingrinder K6 handgrinder for $99.000 or one of their P2 grinders for even less. I and many other espresso fans like the KinGrinders. It will improve your cup immensely over a blade grinder. Pax

Aeropress Grinder leaked?

Uh…no. Just…no. My KINGrinder P2 is good enough for me and if I do upgrade it’ll likely be to their K6. No way would I pay almost $300 for that thing. Shame on you AeroPress!

Which machine is better? [budget not applicable]

I have the first machine you showed. I am not exaggerating when I tell you it can make better espresso and cappuccino than I've had at almost all local cafes. But it won't do it that well out of the box. You need: An espresso grinder (kingrinder P2 works very well and is affordable) A larger depress

A month ago I was buying the cheapest ground dark roast. Now I just got my first coffee subscription!

I got myself a KINGrinder P2 that I've been loving. For just $45 it does a great job. It grinds a single dose for my 3 cup moka pot very quickly and easily. If using a moka pot larger than the 3 cup size, I'd recommend jumping up to the K series for the extra capacity.

Coffee Maker

Put your budget on a good grinder first. Regardless of brewing method, a good grinder will make your coffee a whole lot better than when you buy pre-ground. It doesn't have to be that expensive too as something like the 1k-ish Kingrinder P0, P1, or P2 should do fine. I personally own the P0, which w

What am I doing wrong?

Unfortunately, this Hario burr grinder (an the Slim version) use a ceramic burr that produces a very uneven grind size. You will have a lot of fines (that might end up in the cup) and also fairly large grounds. You can try to go finer, but if the ceramic burrs have the same kind of play as my Slim h

My *very* humble setup. What tips to y’all have to improve my equipment and to learn to make better espresso?

On the top of my head the best upgrades would be a better grinder, going from the Hario one to a Kingrinder P1, P2, K4 or K6. Also, an unpressurized basket, a better tamp, and a WDT tool.
