Is there anywhere on campus that does coffee for less than $7 for a 12oz coffee or is that just the standard minimum everywhere now?
Forget the instant coffee. Brew at home using fresh beans and take the coffee with you. My recommendations: Amazon stainless steel French press $39; KINGrinder P0 $45; 1 kg of Aldi coffee beans $18 (Aldi beans works out at around 55 cents per 250 mL coffee). BYO thermos and milk. At $7 a coffee, you

Moedor iCoffee M6-Max

Are there any cheap hand grinders that are better than the expensive professional grinders?
Going to echo the others here. I’ve had the kingrinder P0, P1, and K6. K6 is incredible, and well worth every penny. However the P1 in my opinion is very good, and if you can stretch for that, was my go-to for my overseas aeropress/grinder setup.

Using a manual grinder
If you're considering getting an Aeropress for travel and office use, the 1ZPresso Q2 seems like a really nice choice. It might be a little harder to get the OG spec Q2 nowadays, since there is the Q which looks quite identical from outside but seems to have a lighter duty construction, similar to Q

Do I need a new scale or at all, if I get this grinder? [$67.99]
get the kingrinder p0 manual grinder. its $22 and has 33 micron adjustments, is super rigid, factory centered/calibrated, so is perfectly reliable. all internals are connected by metal, its cheap cause the outside is plastic. same exact grinder as their more expensive ones but a different burr. my s

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread
Fresh ground coffee is going to taste better than pre ground. And a good burr grinder is going to give a more even grind than something like a blade grinder which will promote more even extraction. Personally I don’t think it’s crazy. I left a KINGrinder P0 (used to be like $22, not sure of current

I am new to the AP do I may have a defective one. I don't measure and don't use a scale. I do it just like the instructions tell me too. But I have to use both of my hands and my chin, to get the unit to go all the way down to the bottom. love the coffee it makes so much, that I gave keurig away
Are you looking for a handgrinder or a electric grinder? Tips for handgrinders: I have a Timemore C2 that i got for 50 euros, does the job sufficiently for AP. I think for aeropress one of the cheapest good options would be a Kingrinder P0/P1/P2. Lot's of plastic outer parts but same price as a Hari

What grinder do you use, why, and how much did it cost?
$22 kingrinder p0. its calibrated (centered), rock solid, does 33 micron steps, which comes out to about 1-3 second difference in brew times per notch, 100% consistent. its the exact same internals as any kingrinder, and being as centered and rigid as it is, thats why it is as good as you can get in

Linux community is so toxic
The thing is; a blender will never grind as cleanly as a grinder will because it generates too many fines so your coffee will always taste over-extracted (any combination of harsh/burnt/bitter). That's not the grinder's fault; it's just the physics of smashing the beans basically. If you look around
