Can't geat near 25-30s espresso extraction, feeling hopeless
It is a cheap filter coffee grinder. you can only brew with pressurized basket with it. Kingrinder K6 is surely one of the best low price you can get new, but manual. the K1 is really the cheapest. You might still have better result with really fresh coffee ( less than 4 weeks old) but really the gr

Specialty coffee

O Tramontina manu

Recommendations for an affordable [$100] burr grinder?
With that price point you’ll need to go with a manual grinder. Something like a Kingrinder K1 should work.

Alternativa intermedia KINGr

What am I doing wrong?
Depends on your budget! I mentioned the Kingrinder, the model I got from AliExpress was 130 euro. I went for the K6 model but you should be able to get the K1 model for 60-70 euro, it's essentially the same thing but it has less range in terms of grinding, but it will do Moka just fine. The best adv

What's wrong with this grinder?
Grinder is very important but the aeropress is forgiving. You’ll be fine with this. It’s a burr grinder which is so much better than a blade. But if you’re only brewing for yourself and are ok with the little more time you might fight a cheaper Kingrinder like the K1 could give you a better grind. J

Best low budget espresso machine [200 and under]
If you’re just going to be making lattes a knockoff brand machine like casabrews will work. It has a pressurized basket so you don’t really need a high quality grinder. You could even use store bought pre ground as long as it’s for espresso machines. You’re not going to be getting great espresso tho

What grinder to get?
Neither. Avoid ceramic burrs. They don’t do a good job and create a lot of fines. Hard to recommend exactly without knowing what your budget is and what availability is where you’re located, but here are some good manual grinders to consider: All-around grinders that do well for all brew methods: -

My Christmas presents
Nice setup for your espresso journey. Love the Dedica 680 upgrades and that Kingrinder K1 pairing! The Timemore scale is spot on for precision dosing too. For your next tools, a WDT tool (like a cheap needle one) will make distribution way more even than a DIY kork, and a blind shaker pairs perfectl
