I have a Kinesis Advantage 2. For me it is not about the switches, but the ergonomics. The thumb cluster is such a good quality of life feature, I don't understand why isn't mainstream. The thumbs are our strongest fingers and what we do with them? Hitting the same giant spacebar... It's just stupid

I was making this decision recently, and while initially I was leaning towards the Moonlander, I eventually realized the voyager was the better option for me. I'm sure you've considered your personal pros and cons of each. For me, the overall benefits of the voyager won out, and I'm super happy with

I’ve been using the Kinesis Contoured (now Advantage 2) since 1994. It was a game changer for me. Finding one for free is insanely lucky. There are many mods/upgrades worth considering: replacing the keycaps (SA row 3), replace the controller, adding damping inside, and advanced: swapping switches (

20+ years ago I switched to a thumb trackball for pain in my arm and I love it. I made three changes all at once, so I am not 100% sure which one fixed what. I was having horrible pain where I thought I would have to switch to a new career. I made these changes.- Thumb trackball mouse (https://www.a

I've done it myself -- and more: I added a trackpad between the keys, add PBT, add QMX clips, then added custom switches. The PBT I have are exact duplicates, but the group doing them went out of business. Kinesis makes PBT for the Advantage 360. Here's a review of those on the Advantage 2. PBT is q

I’ve tried many split keyboards, nothing beats kinesis advantage 2 which has been my daily driver for about 8 years now. I did try the advantage 360, but ended up returning it and just doing the stapelberg mod which lets you use QMK instead of their rubbish key mapping software. That way you get the

Arm wrests are on my chair, which is a nice Herman Miller chair, but any chair where the arm wrests can adjust up/down and tilt in & out will work. I set it so when my hands are on the keyboard, my forearms sit lightly on the arm rests and my elbows are just above the armrest (they actually don't to

if you're looking for actual ergo inspiration on this sort of thing, check out the kinesis advantage 2, a commercially available, extremely effective ergo keyboard. I think at minimum you're going to want to move thumb keys down, even if you don't go the full thumb cluster route.

I'm intrigued. I use a Kinesis Advantage 2 which fits me very well and am still looking for a more portable version. (Yes, I have carried it places. Yes, people think you're mad.) I tried the glove80 but the placements of the thumb keys suit me less well than on the Kinesis. And I would strongly pre
