The Kindle Oasis was peak e-reader

I can’t tell you you’re wrong because I believe you are right. I love my Oasis, and I’m sad that there’s no way to replace it when it dies, unless Amazon comes to their senses and brings it back. The buttons are crisp and satisfying to push, the lighting on it is wonderful, the screen size is perfec

Ditch the Kindle

You'll have to pry my Kindle Oasis from my cold, dead hands.

Kindle Paperwhite vs Kobo Libra Colour — which would you keep? 😭

I think only bullet point 2 matters here the most. Don’t let people gaslight you that the Kaleido 3 is an OK screen when it clearly bothers you. It is an amazing screen for those who don’t notice the screendoor effect, but if your eyes are sensitive, it just makes it unusable. I have a Kindle Oasis

Using one ereader ONLY - Is anyone doing this? How's it going?

The Kindle Oasis is one of the best designed ereaders out there. A pleasure to hold and the two buttons for page turning our perfect.

Hobby Ideas for Chronic Migraine

Audiobooks and podcasts - and depending on your symptoms it might be worth it to get an ereader. Some of them are front lit. That is, back lighting is lights facing you, front lighting is lights inside the device facing AWAY from you. So I have a kindle oasis I have had nearly 10 years now? Front li

I just got a Boox Go 7 to replace an old Kindle, I love it so far! Any app suggestions for reading, or is default reader the best?

As someone who had been using Kindle Oasis, and then Boox Page and now Boox Go 7; Nothing can beat KOreader if you figure out its settings and find out your desired reader customization. EDIT: putting the book cover you’re reading on the screen saver/sleep wallpaper automatically makes KOreader irre

Finally made my Library readable yesterday. First ever E-Reader!

That's a good choice! Someone nicked my kindle oasis when I left it on a plane and I replaced it with this. I just need those physical buttons!

The Kindle Oasis was peak e-reader

Oasis was the best- when it was dropped, I dropped Kindle. Physical page turn buttons are something I don’t want to do without.

What should I buy?

There are no current Kindles with buttons, so unless you can snag a used Kindle Oasis for that price, that rules out Kindles anyway. With your requirements and price point, I am not sure there’s anything other that PocketBook Verse available as new. (And I don’t know how sharp the Verse screen is -

Is the white of boox go 7 gen 2 B&W meant to be this dark?

I had the same “whoah, this is so grey” reaction when I got my Go 10.3 (first generation, no light) last week. Was a bit disappointed at first, but when I actually started reading on it (and upped font weight for better contrast), doesn’t feel too different to reading on my Kindle Oasis without the
