Managing cables drives me crazy! Anyone have any easy tips for this?

I'm the same. I'm even considering soldering a USB-C port to my Kindle Oasis just for convenience

Kindle Oasis: to rebuy or not to rebuy?

All other Oasis out there will have the same battery issue. I traded mine in roughly 2 years ago because the battery was kaput. If you want the form factor you're going to have to look to other manufacturers like Kobo or Boox. Boox is nice since it's Android based you can run the Kindle app on it an

Whar were your main factors for buying a new device?

Battery life dropped significantly. When I first bought my Kindle Oasis I got about 2 weeks of battery life per charge. Now it last me about 3 to 4 days. Less if I read a lot. Also it still has micro usb. That's the reason I decided to buy a new e-reader.

Need advice to choose a new e-reader for my sister.

Hey neighbor! I’ve been researching and testing e-readers for a few months now, and I’ve settled on the Pocketbook brand. I have some friends who own one, and the battery life and screen quality are excellent! I’ve tried a Kobo, and aside from the “cheap plastic” feel, it’s like switching from one c

Would you buy Kindle Oasis (10th gen) in 2026?

Oasis 3 is several years newer and depending on how it’s been used, should last better (not as well as any other Kindle to be honest, as I think the Oasis line had the worst battery life out of all Kindles even as new; the “six weeks” isn’t saying a lot as it depends on whether you use it half an ho

Genuine question: is most of the battery complaints because of people enabling WiFi? And why does that use so much damn battery?

Boox chooses some pretty weak batteries and the Android OS isn't as optimized as a focused OS: it is basically designed to waste energy. I use mine offline 99% of the time and it is set to turn itself off after 1 hour of standby and I still find the battery life laughable compared with my old Kindle

Best one

I guess it depends on what one compares it to - I can read about two regular novels on one charge on my Boox (with wifi off but frontlight on halfway through), which seems “decent” to me compared to, say, phone or iPad. But fair enough, I’m used to Kindle Oasis which was notoriously the Kindle with

What do you think about Pocketbook era lite?

My first instinct would be to go with the Kindle Oasis, but Ive heard that the battery life isnt great, so maybe something from Boox, even though I never tried them out.

Need recommendations for an e-reader

Unfortunately Amazon already phased out Kindle Oasis line with 10th gen is the last your best bet is a used Kobo Libra 2 (Libra Colour is there too, but colour) or had to sacrifice the button with Paperwhite 5/6. Or sacrifice battery life with Boox Go 7

Would you buy Kindle Oasis (10th gen) in 2026?

So I have both kindle oasis and kobo libra colour, kindle oasis' battery is not good, never has been, 6 weeks is a dream unless you're not using it at all. You don't really need to disable the touchscreen, I never used that option on the oasis, and I never missed it on the libra, because the wide si
