Second opinions on V6 Max

Re "there isn't any good keycaps for the V6 Max": The shine-through ones for V6 do work (though the light is even more feeble for the V6 Max, making it only barely acceptable (only really works in close-to-complete darkness)). At least they were available for the ISO variants of the V6 (first-hand e

Finally ditched Razer

I've had 3 black widow keyboards die on me now. I would never recommend it again. Get a keychron v6 max which is like 130$ and even though it's a plastic build, still feels more premium than the 300eur razer keyboard. Hot swappable switches, keycaps, usb/2.4ghz/bt out of the box, no bullshit softwar

I can’t decide on a keyboard…

You’re gonna be limited with shine-through keycaps keyboards, especially at 100% because that’s one of the less popular layouts. I say this being a fan of 100%. If you can’t find the perfect one, most keycaps can be swapped at for shine-through ones pretty cheaply. I think the Keychron V6 Max comes

How to create a WFH & Gaming setup?

I can't answer the graphics question (I don't know and I'm not big on needing excellent graphics), but here's a way too long response I made the other day on the same topic while procrastinating: I've got a combo WFH/gaming/simracing setup in what is essentially a tiny walk-in closet. The picture at

How do you guys deal with 2 PCs on one desk?

Oh man, I went through this. I work from home, my personal desk is also my work station. My office is really just a tiny walk in closet. I have my PC and a work laptop. Here's what I did: I have triple monitors on a triple monitor stand. 3 monitors is completely overkill for one machine, except for

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - April 08, 2026

Two things that will have the most impact on making your keyboard silent are: Silent switches (for example, TTC Silent Bluish White V2) A deskmat I can type on a live microphone during a Teams call, and my coworkers can’t hear me. See if a retailer near you (maybe Amazon is an option?) has the Keych

Hot Swappable Steel Series / Razer to Replace Keychron ?

I have a v6 max, bought it 2 weeks ago and have used it 8-10 hours per day, both for work and gaming. I used it both wired, 2.4ghz and also the bluetooth for my work laptop. All work flawlessly It's the best keyboard I have ever owned and I've own a lot of keyboards throughout the years. Zero issues

Anyone know any good things about this keyboard?

I bought a ASUS ROG keyboard and returned it, ended up with a Keychron v6 max, LOVE IT. They have some great keyboards for a very fair price. Wireless/wired, hot swap, tons of keycaps, way to go imo

Mac Mini M4 or M4 pro

M4 base model will work, but M4 Pro will give you more breathing more. So it's the better option long term. I can run Windows and Linux ARM VM's on my M4 no problem but if you try to do more intense tasks it might slow down quicker. If you use QEMU to emulate x86 that's considerably slower. Not sure
