Forgive me I’m new to keyboards…
You don't need software for any mechanical keyboard unless you want to change the configuration or layout. If the keyboard is QMK you can configure it from Chrome or Edge using usevia.app and possibly a JSON configuration file. Small to large QMK boards: 60%: Redragon K717 Pro * ($30) CIDOO QK61 * ($6

Keychron V1 Wireless Keys are double typing
Re "The firmware change log said it "1. Fixed key double press issue caused by snap action."": It isn't clear if that is really the reason For doubling down on treating the symptoms, Keychron has also at the same time changed the default key debounce time from the already high 20 ms to a whopping 50

Experiences with Keychron V1 Max?
I had the V1 for 4 years. First the keys started chattering after only 7 months. Then the usb connector turned loose even tho I barely unplugged the cable. Keychron ghosted my Emails for an RMA request. I bought new switches from them which also started chattering again. Finally some keys started to

Keyboard recommendations
EPOMAKER x Aula F75, 75% Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Not QMK, and you should probably avoid buying through Epomaker because they're kind of dodgy. Royal Kludge R87 Pro Wireless Mechanical Keyboard If you get the QMK version this is rather nice. The iLoveBee B87 is basically the same board in

V1 MAX second keyboard issues
Re "am I the only one having issues with the V1 Max?": No, you are not. Here is an example of four bad keyboards in a row(!!!). That was for a V6 Max. For V1 Max: V1 Max - key doubling issue. Failed after a few weeks. #15 Keychron warranty support no response - need help!. Double-typing keys for a V

Q9 and Keychron Launcher error "No Valid HID Device Configuration Found"
It sounds like Keychron has goofed up. It seems to be a trend for the older wired-only V series and Q series: Q7 in Keychron Launcher: "No Valid HID Device Configuration Found". Via also works fine I keep getting a banner saying "No Valid HID Device Configuration Found". For a V3. "No Valid HID Devi
