I feel like I’ve committed a crime

Maybe I'm getting old and grumpy, but the idea that one of the fancy keychrons 'leaves a lot to be desired' is crazy to me, The Q5 Max has a serious spec sheet. Besides better case materials, and generally aesthetic stuff, what more is there even to ask for? If you want fancy switches/keycaps you ca

Gaming Keyboard Upgrade — Keychron Q6 HE 8K vs Wooting 2HE

I just bought the Keychron Q6 HE 8K. Playing on Logitech G910 for many years, I felt my performance was lagging a bit My son bought the Q5 Max and said Keychron is the best quality board on the market. Keys are solid with aluminum frame. Keyboard weighs 4.1 lbs. - thats insane! Heard Wooting was the

Is getting a keychron worth it anymore

I’ve been using a keychron Q5 max since mid 2024 and it’s an excellent keyboard. No issues

Full size with magnetic switches, shine through key caps and a volume

what helped me when i was hunting for a similar combo was realizing the full-size hall effect market is still pretty new. that keychron you linked is probably the closest you'll get for magnetic switches with a numpad. for a volume knob, you might have to go the separate route - a little usb knob is

Tired of the keyboard rabbit hole – help me choose!

You don’t need 8K. I’ve been using the keychron Q5 Max since 2024 and I really love it. It’s built like a tank, and you absolutely will not notice any latency whatsoever with 1000 Hz polling rate.

Keychron Q6 Max broken out the box

I got the q5 max which is pretty good. I also bought nuphy node 75 for travel and I think I would be satisfied with the the node 100 over the keychron

Finally a Keychron Owner

My Keychrons have become my daily drivers since I am not concerned about what happens to them. The Q5 Max is an excellent board, and my first board in the hobby. I like it so much I took it to work along with a q60. I don't think I will be buying a Q6 Pro anytime soon. I would need some other boards

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - February 04, 2026

You can get a Keychron V5/Q5 MAX or a V6/Q6 MAX if you want a wireless keyboard. It'll last far longer than anything from Logitech. The V6/Q6 is a fullsize while the V5/Q5 is a compact-fullsize about the size of a TKL while still having the same amount of a keys as a fullsize. If you plan to use it

My favorite keyboard to type on is a meme

It's a good keyboard; I have a Q5 MAX, and it's one of my favorites. It still has the original Jupiter Banana switches, and I replaced the keycaps with Metropolis R2. It looks great. I find the knob useful, but I could manage without it. At least it's more discreet than the one on the OnePlus 81 Pro

My Daughter Needs/Wants a Keyboard Like This… Any Ideas?

The Galaxy100 is on sale open box for $72 on Amazon. The keycaps are uniform height but not shinethrough. But you can always grab a separate set of keycaps later. Same thing with switches if you want to swap them later. Fullsize and 96% options are limited. Especially aluminum fullsize. The best one
