The Q are really hard to justify, except maybe the Q4 is still a bit of a bargain. I still prefer the J2 to any of the Q or V lines. The Keychron design language that makes then leave out the bottom key in the navigation column in the V1/Q1 kind of ticks me off. Moving the column over 1/4u and putti

That looks like a pretty generic 60% board, and for $99 on Amazon US rather overpriced - that's more than a Keychron Q4! I would return it and get a QMK based 60% board that supports mod-tap arrows instead. Then you can tap the keys to use them as arrows, or hold them to use them as modifiers (contr

Not sure what shortcomings you see, I have a Q4 and a Monsgeek M1 v3 and the quality and features of the Monsgeek board are at least in-line with the Keychron. Keychron has been having serious quality control and design problems, particularly in gasket mounted boards like the Q1, and their overworke

I have a keychron V5 max. Im looking currently at Q4, is this a worth it upgrade? What other brand would be an upgrade from Keychron? My budget is under 200, im looking for a 60% . I will probably get my own switches and keycaps, since im worried to do other upgrades since im new.

I used Q6 HE before I sold it in favor of Q4 HE. There wasn't anything wrong with it, I just shouldn't have come back to a full sized keyboard. That said, Q4 HE is what I use and recommend. If you really want to go out of your way to get something mechanical instead of magnetic, regular Q4 is also t

Yeah, the Luce60 is super generic - fits right in with all those other boards with a machined brushed metal top case, integrated plate, and angled chassis geometry. Very overpriced, just get something like a Tofu60, Neo60, BD60, Luminkey60, Keychron Q4 Pro, Logitech MX Mechanical Mini, and spend a l

that i will be able to change the keys on Do you mean changing the input keys or the physical switch type? For the former, you're looking for a "QMK/VIA compatible" kb, those are the apps you can change your layout on. For the latter, it's called "hot-swappable", and especially avoid Hall Effect kbs

Okay so I would recommend they Keychron Q4 Pro which is about 160 dollars, and then get the fully built with red switches. Here is a sound test with the Keychron Q1 Pro (same thing but bigger) with red switches. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/3IOrBNcKeKs

If you can stretch a little and are the US, Amazon has a blue Keychron Q4 for USD90 that could be easily remapped as I mentioned and can come with Blue switches. The case is solid aluminum so also a step from the RK or Redragon.
