After my first two boards, I decided that lubing stabs was the only thing worth doing
Wasn't the whole idea behind all those mods to take the stuff that was available on the market at the time (like 5+ years ago) and improve it substantially with little effort? I mean, it is crazy how much development/improvements have happened in the last few years in terms of what you get for your

NuPhy killer or nah?
Depends on what you value I guess. My €130 Nuphy Halo 2 IO feels and sounds much better than my €225 Keychron Q1 Max... and the Nuphy doesn't have rattling stabs.

I'm impressed with the Neo98
That's what blows my mind. I have 4 Q series from 2020-2022 and it's crazy how bad they sound and feel(with mods and tuning) compared to the stock sound/feel of many of the boards out in the last year that cost half the price. It's just crazy to think that they were IMO the best value proposition in

Why is the Q1 V2 barebone $69 but the Q1 Pro barebone $149?
Yeah maybe they are trying to get rid of old stock. Sounds like wireless isn't useful for you at all, in which case I do agree the Q1 V2 is probably better value for you. Especially if you are happy to mod the foams and stabilisers yourself (old stock Keychron stabs are pretty noisy).

This is my personal opinion on this, but the latest series is not really worth the effort to mod. Not because it is garbage or anything (though QC/support by Keychron is apparently not as good as it used to be), but because there is nothing to do: The old Q series (full metal that came before the ch

Why is the space bar so garbage on the Keychron Q1 Max ($230)
A clearer picture of the spacebar would help, it looks like a damaged space bar. Swap it with a spacebar from another keyboard. https://imgur.com/a/keychron-q1-damaged-spacebar-DoEKlxo ^-- This don't look right. I replaced the spacebar on my K2 with a Nuphy Ghostbar because it's so much quieter.

Vter K75
Just got this today and a RK N80. So far I'm loving the VTer k75. So fucking thocky and creamy. Better than my modded Keychron Q1.

How do I remove the clicky sounding rattle in my spacebar?
you've been so helpful in every thread. just have to rant: i've had many pre-builts in the past and occasionally tried different keycaps and switches, but - now that i've dived in to research doing a custom or even a handmade keycap - the issue with my main Keychron Q1 Max's space bar is so wildly g

Keychron Q1 Max + Epomaker Creamy Jade = Heaven
I have a Keychron Q1 Max too, but I can't get it to sound nice. Might try your setup. Did you remove the foams and apply other mods?
