consoom old keyboard get excited for next old keyboard
If you want a solid full-sized keyboard with hall-effect magnetic switches (actual game changer if you play FPS) get Keychron K10 HE. Goes for an imo fair $130. Same with K2, K4, K8 etc. The keeb game has changed a lot in the last decade, and there are now plenty of plug&play Chinese boards that are

Keychron Keyboards Quality
I consider Keychron to be my favorite brand. Mostly because I’m a Mac person and they work so well with them. I know other brands have Mac modes now (I started out in 2021 getting into keyboards), but I just like Keychron. In terms of quality, I’ve been happy with all of the Keychron boards I’ve had

Help! Overwhelmed by choices. Looking for a premium ~75% keyboard
Hardly anyone ships silent tactiles and the ones that do are overpriced and usually unsatisfactory in other ways. Just replace the switches. I share your strong preference for a 75% board with no stupid blockers. Trimode QMK 75% boards with at least 13 keys on the Fn row and at least 4 keys on the n

Personal Keyboard
I use a Keychron K2 HE. I’m loving the magnetic switches as you get that tactile feeling without the loud clickitys. It’s small enough to travel nicely in my backpack.

Has anyone else moved away from using Windows as their main OS thanks to the Steam Deck?
It's a Varmilo VB87M BT keyboard with cherry browns switches and Maxkey SA keycaps and it's mostly just for doing lots and lots of typing. I do a lot of typing for work. I actually bought it in 2017 and it's still going strong, but the board and the keycaps got a full wash last week so it's looking

Mechanical vs Hall Effect – Which keyboard makes more sense for me?
Honestly, unless you're looking to dump $100+ into a keyboard, HE doesn't make sense. Cheap HE boards are just not it in terms of reliability, build quality, and software experience. The cheapest HE board I can actively recommend is something like a NuPhy Field 75 HE or Air60/75 HE. Keychron's K2 HE

All hospital keyboards are shit. I wish I had enough money to replace them all with Keychron mechanical keyboards
I bought a Keychron K2 after experiencing the garbage ED keyboards. Would highly recommend, easy to move between rotations. Haven't had any complaints from my co-residents about the clacking from the brown switches. It's a fun talking point and people know where I am in the hospital. Only downside i
