Tx to the shopping option of chatgpt, I founded the keychron k17 max that seems to check all my checkoxes : low profile, hot-swappable, num pad.

Mechanical keyboard or Slim keyboards for typing and coding comfort
I recently got myself a Keychron K17 Max. It’s an amazing low profile keyboard. Feels incredible to both type and play on.

Worth getting a proper mouse or keypad early on?
Oh I bought most of this as an ST1/2 so can't perfectly remember. Mouse - Logitek G502 hero. Went for wired. Must have onboard memory because of NHS BS. Mic - Hollyland Lark M2 Wireless... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CRKY7RSN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I tried a Bluetooth headset first, but again NHS BS

Best sounding/most silent OEM switches for the K5 MAX?
Oh, well, in that case. I just bought the K17 Max with the browns, and I quite enjoy their feel and even sound, although Keychron's no-gasket design makes it a bit echoish. I also like laptop keys, the resistance is pretty similar.

First Mechanical Keyboard
nice :) similar form factor, i like my keychron k17 max plenty enough to keep for a lifetime (linear switch, for some reason the tactiles make it sound+feel like trash) hope you enjoy for a long time!

What’s going on with Keychron?
I got a K17 max a few days ago and I'm very happy with it. BTW, Keychron is one of the few companies to offer ISO-FR layouts

Which low profile 96% keyboard should I buy?
Lofree Flow 100 - Feels and sounds good to type on (creamy). Lack of customizability (only on Windows) cheaper too Keychron K17 Max - Looks better imo. Just average on feels, and the sound is on the clacky side. Infinitely customizable with VIA (browser based software)

Shine-through Keycaps Recommendations Request
Mine finally arrived. Not all the keys for my K17 Max are there, no function or numpad keys, the Esc keycap is horrible, so I didn't use it, and I'm still on the fence on the Tab, Caps, Shift, Ctril, etc. I may add them later. In any case, I had enough caps to build a Frankenboard. It works great, t
