Discreet music controller for Mac Mini?
I recently went down this exact rabbit hole! I had very similar needs, and I settled on a Keychron K0 Max number pad. It has a volume knob and an entire keypad to assign inputs and macros to. So I have keys set to play/pause, skip, etc. And keys to open Apple Music and Audio MIDI Setup. It's worked

Any issues with the q6 he?
Sadly no. I will be honest and say that I went from a 100% and switched to using a 65% board with a separate Numb pad, and it’s worked great. Much smaller footprint. Perhaps get the Hex80, and then a Keychron numb pad such as the Q0 Mac or the cheaper Ko Max? Both have knobs. https://mechanicalkeybo
