Keychron V3 Max QMK/VIA (TKL) – opinions and reliability?
I would avoid the Q and V boards because there is an ongoing problem with the switches working loose. Here are some less problematic QMK/VIA 80% boards: Keychron C1 Pro 8k - not because of the 8k, but because it's otherwise a better board than the other C models. Keychron K1 Pro/Max Keychron J4 Smac

Akko vs Aula vs Royal Kludge
Bought an Aula F75 Black Side-engraved from shopee like 6 months ago, keyboard still looks brand new, and feels brand new to type on. Like most electronics, you may or may not get a lemon unit, it's really just a lottery whether you get unlucky or not. P.S. I use the F75 wireless more than wired, an

Do you actually notice the difference between premium and budget keyboards?
Not a KB snob, and I must admit that for me getting used to mechanical keyboard was a journey, but once you develop tactile "taste" so you can feel the actuation point with your fingertips it just getting so much easier to type, and going back to membrane feels like you typing on the clay, and must

Search for a silent keyboard
Definitely as a silent option. But I like it in general as well for the aesthetics a And build quality. My general keyboard recs for highest quality at cheapest price are the Kisnt KN85 for best/cheapest and the Bridge75 for Best/Under$100. Full size options are way more limited. For budget options

Which one of these keyboards should I buy?
I think the reply I just gave in a different thread applies here, too, so Ill paste it here: (In reference to the Nuphy Node high/low profile keyboards with Blush switches) Definitely as a silent option. But I like it in general as well for the aesthetics a And build quality. My general keyboard rec

Full size keyboard recommendations
RIP to your k820 pro, that charging situation is rough. I've been through a few budget boards and the Keychron C1 might be worth checking out - not exactly chinese but decent build quality for around 60 bucks. If you want to stay in that budget range the Royal Kludge RK100 has been solid for me, ful

Keychron c1 case swap?
Plastic cases are thockier than metal and swapping the case wont solve the issue. Tell us the mods you have on your board so we can figure out what we can put or remove. The Keychron C1 is a very very solid beginner board, I've had mine since the pandemic and I've modded a ton of keyboard since. I k

Are expensive keyboards even necessary
tl;dr $50-$100 US seems to be the sweet spot for quality. My most recent keyboard is a Keychron C1 for $60. It has a very nice premium quality and satisfying key strokes. The one before that was a Corsair Strife RGB mk2 for $115 that while very nice, isn't as satisfying to type on. Both are mechanic

Keychron c1 vs elecfox linky 87
On the one hand, the Linky87 looks like a legit QMK board, though I have not actually seen it to verify. On the other hand, Elecfox are not really committed to QMK, the Inky75 was emulated QMK and newer firmwares use a proprietary driver. On the gripping hand, the Keychron C1 is pretty bottom of the
