At what price point do you consider all tower speakers in the same price range/class "high-end."
It is a very personal question. Unfortunately that kind of question gets the male karen out of the woodwork who absolutely have to let us know that their $2000 system sounds like 100,000 and the folks that spent the extra 98,000 are just a bunch of fools. To me, if you get something like a pair of K

I heard (almost) every KEF Meta speaker in existence, here are 8 key findings
I started with Heresy IV’s and a good Yamaha amp. I moved to LS50 Metas and a KC62 on the same amp. Better. I upgraded my amp to an Hegel 390. Also worth it. The LS50M’s used every single watt. Then moved to a Kef reference one meta and was shocked at how much better it sounded. And finally ditched

KEF overrated?
Dunno… Had quite a few different speaker systems but I totally loved my KEF Reference model II speakers and actually am very happy with my LS50 Meta’s now.

KEF R11 Meta - Don't Understand the Hype
I find the KEF R series to be good, but quite overhyped on the forums, usually because of their good measurements. They resolve to a point, and then you would have to go upstream, KEF or otherwise. I had the R3 Meta in house for a little, and they just couldn't hold their own against my (then) curre

LS50 Meta or Wireless II
For a give cabinet and drivers the active speakers give a greater range, more bass and lower cost than the passive version. LS50 Meta with an amp that is in total double the cost of the Kef LS50 II wireless is claimed to be better. Kef themselves claim that they could not make a passive version of t

Passive alternative for LSXII LT?
If you are an iPhone user you can install Google Chromecast and test also uPnP. I have run TuneBlade on my PC hoping for the low latency Airplay 2 gets via Apple 4K TV but no luck. uPnP, DLNA and Chromecasts sound better then Airplay 2. WiSA is even better and the speakers much improved using WiSA t

KEF Q150 + Marantz PM6007 vs KEF LSX ii
I think the primary benefit you would appreciate with that switch would be the improvement in volume within a relatively large space. the LSX II are a great-sounding speaker for near field, but you are probably pushing them hard in a room that size. the flipside is that I think the LSX II has somewh

Thinking about upgrading my Q3 meta
I came to the same conclusion as you (LS50 Meta + Rel T5x), and here's why. The R3 Metas have a highly shelved bass response that is hard to work around when you're trying to blend in a subwoofer. You could try to fight it with a couple of different PEQ settings, but then those would be lost to you

LS50 Meta or Wireless II
Exact same here. M1 and LS50 Meta, KC62. Got both Kefs half for $1700 total used in mint condition. Got refurbished M1 for $700. Happy about the sound

Why not much love for R5 Metas?
Having owned or tested every R Meta from the R3-11, as well as the LSX II, LSX, LS50 Meta, here is my assessment. The smaller LSX speakers are amazing for their size and can be had at great prices when KEF discounts them. However, they cannot be played much above 85db without eventual damage (I know
