Just Jumping In

So basically, you've got the Wiim Amp Ultra setting the bar for price/performance for $530 USD (watch for a sale during Amazon Spring Prime Days later this month), with the next step up being a Wiim Ultra for $330 (watch for the sale), paired with a Buckeye Hypex NCx252MP for $625. The next upgrade

LSX II LT near field sub recs?

IMHO, KEF's subwoofers tend to be overpriced for what they offer. I'd recommend something from SVS or Rythmik, or if you want to stay truly in budget, RSL. I run an RSL Speedwoofer 10e with LS50 Metas and it's...fine? I wouldn't mind more, but my wife would 😁.

KEF LS50 Meta Vs KEF LS50 Wireless 1

There's a reason it's this price... Take it from many disgruntled kef lsx and ls50 owners that you just don't want to go down this route If you have more space and are looking at wiim ultra look out for R3 reasonably priced second hand speakers instead - edited to say can see someone else recommends

I'm Done (For Real)

yup. I've heard almost all Kef speakers and they sound ok but nothing special for their price. I bought ls50 meta because of Amir review on ASR forum and i also prefer coax speakers because of directivity and flexibility to turn the speakers on the side. Audiophile world is full of snake oils and yo

Looking for speakers for living room

The KEF ls50 meta are pretty close to the Monitor Audio Bronze 2 in audio quality, but originally >3 times as expensive, check: https://youtu.be/_jYJmoHywkE?is=drcmrSHKDDbPPziP You can probably score a set of used Bronze 2's for ~$250(-300) today (if u find a pair on sale).

Thinking AT-VM95EN upgrade?

Ah yes, cartridge upgrade to go with the speaker upgrade! Which model tube phono preamp? The Ascend B-stock (can't even really tell them apart from A stock) are on holiday sale and usually sell out at some point and then may not be back on stock on sale need to wait until next year to get the sale p

About to spend $2.5k AUD on first stereo — tell me what I’m getting wrong

If you're looking at 606 money I'd also demo a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 100. I would take either of those over the LS50 Meta even if they were the same money - before I retired I'd have so many Reddit people come in to buy the KEF (not having heard them) and then leave with Bowers or Monitor Aud

Q11 Meta with Parasound amp vs. Ls60. Both with a 12" Rythmik sub.

Ya i would 100% go reference at that price with a rytmik sub. I think the ls60s are a stupid product. I get the little lsx actives etc. Its simple and cheapish. Even my ls50 metas id never buy active. At least not with kefs garbage electronics that fail. Plus seperates can grow with you. For the pri
