Are Kef speakers all that good? {LS60}

KEF makes very good speakers with a unique listening experience from their coaxial concentric drivers. Most find them neutral to slightly warm in presentation. KEF speakers image extremely well and are quite holographic. They've been developing concentric drivers for a long time and are on their 11t

I like to listen while I cook

Those shelves are so high up and you’ll be standing basically right underneath them. Whether you have larger speakers against the wall or smaller speakers pulled further out, it seems like you’re decided between two non-ideal options. I know you already mounted the shelves and ran the wiring, but it

KEF R11 Meta - Don't Understand the Hype

I find the KEF R series to be good, but quite overhyped on the forums, usually because of their good measurements. They resolve to a point, and then you would have to go upstream, KEF or otherwise. I had the R3 Meta in house for a little, and they just couldn't hold their own against my (then) curre

Speakers with soundstage for under $1300

Keep the model 5. I have them too and enjoy them immensely over dozens of similar great speakers I have owned. The lesser bookshelf speakers won't be as good but I suspect you may like the KEF ls50 meta for the point source design and sleek design.

Looking for bookshelf speakers for Hegel H90

KEF LS50 Metas for near field listening are phenomenal. You will likely want to add a sub as they roll off early. Would pair very nicely w the H90. The KEF will give you a critical, detailed listening experience. The Ascend recommended above are going to be deeper, with wider dispersion. The KEF are

Debating KEF LSX2-LT ($800) vs. LS50 Meta + Wiim Amp Ultra ($1750) – worth the jump?

To answer some questions: Wiim Amp Ultra is not any more complicated to setup than the KEF LSX2. Wiim also does have WiFi streaming built-in right out of the box. Your room isn't huge, but the KEF LSX do have fairly small drivers on their own, which may be underwhelming in the bass department, espec

What part of the hobby is 90% placebo but you still enjoy it?

Nice! I have some Kef LS50 Wireless II's (basically an active version of the LS50 Metas) and they're great, but agree... just a different experience. They're for my PC (which I spend a lot of time in front of) and replaced some Yamaha studio monitors, so they're accurate but I'm used to that. They'r

Anyone using Arc Ultra + Sonos Amp as Fronts for Dolby Atmos Music? (Volume & imaging stability?)

I have tried all permutations of fronts with the Arc Ultra. With the Amp I have KEF LS50 Metas. The volume of the Amp fronts with the Arc was very balanced, wasn’t overpowered at all. However when playing stereo music (which is most tracks on Apple Music) I found some sound came out of the centre ch

LSX II LT or LS 50 Meta?

I have to let someone else give you a definitive answer on the bass. Reason is the wireless/powered versions of the LS50 include some bass and treble DSP compensation, which you won’t have. I use a slight bit to compensate bass for boundary conditions. So not a fair comparison. However, I can say th

R3 Meta vs Ls50 Meta + KC62

The KEF R3 Meta only uses a point-source driver above 420Hz, whereas the LS50 Meta is a true point-source speaker across its entire operating range. That, along with its curved front baffle, makes it the superior imaging speaker. Separately, the KEF R3 Meta doesn't measure that differently from the
