Bedroom setup KEF LS50 Meta vs Wireless II

If youre okay w passives, that is generally a more versatile route for future upgrades or repairs. Kef software is reportedly iffy as well. I can vouch for wiim software and have the ls50 metas

KEF Q150 + Marantz PM6007 vs KEF LSX ii

I think the primary benefit you would appreciate with that switch would be the improvement in volume within a relatively large space. the LSX II are a great-sounding speaker for near field, but you are probably pushing them hard in a room that size. the flipside is that I think the LSX II has somewh

Budget Speakers and Turntable setup that sounds decent

Pro-ject is a great brand to buy for turntable. right now, they have good tables at $300 and better tables at $500-$600. You can't go wrong, and there are sales now on Amazon. I have a vintage 1975 Thorens TD-160, which nice because it plays well and is an object of beauty, but the upkeep on vintage

Speaker Upgrade debacle

This was my recent solution. Smaller room, so nothing crazy- but I bought LS50 Meta 3’s and was a little underwhelmed (as expected) by the lower end. Added a REL T5x and absolutely love the pairing with the KEF’s. Oh and I also left the port plugs in since I only have about 9” to the back wall.

Why are LSX II $1500 on their site and only $500 at my local Costco?

I tried listening to them in Costco. The environment does not help it at all, unfortunately. I'm the owner of the LS50 Metas and this more budget friendly seemed far, far worse. I'm pretty sure with "my" playlist and in the correct room they would show common KEF traits due to their technologies.

Turntable recommendation $3K budget

I have Technics 1210GR with AT VM540ML, going through Rotel A12 Mk2 with KEF LS50 Metas :-) Rotel and LS50 Meta is a great combo even at low wattage. ATVM740ML is just as good as the 2M Bronze for much less price tag and personally I would recommend Technics 1210 GR2, but Rega P6 is a solid turntabl

About to spend $2.5k AUD on first stereo — tell me what I’m getting wrong

!thanks Glad I saw that Marantz review… I’m practically sold on the WiiM Amp Ultra for starters after some more looking. I do like the modern look of the product. Thanks for bringing up the brightness factor of the B&Ws. I’m new to speaker setups but very happily use Focal Clear headphones, so I’m p

What's the honest opinion about The Union Audio Elara 4 Mk2 against Xone 92MK2 and 96 ? Sound and fabrication quality ?

Fair enough, I wasn’t trying to be pedantic, but that does get thrown my way now and then. I think we’ve just got our wires crossed. I wasn’t saying that you’re wrong not to want one, just that describing them as cheap tubes comes across more like a judgement on quality than just personal preference

If my priorities are music: 60%, good TV audio: 40%, and surround sound: 0% (could be a nice bonus), does a 2.1 stereo setup make the most sense?

Simplicity of use and setup, Sonos. Speakers, KEF may have the edge, so..... Forget a sound bar, I'd go with a Sonos Amp for TV duties with a Sonos Sub Mini and you can have a pair of KEF speakers, LS50 Meta's or R3 Meta's. The dining room, you could have a stereo pair of Fives or another Amp. You c

Built with a similar budget: I have KEF R7 as my mains, and I built an alternative to a sound bar with two more basic Q-series speakers (Q150) as my center channel, a bit spaced apart because my projection surface is large. I use LS50 Meta as rear surrounds, and an SVS subwoofer. I play music via Mu
