Why are LSX II $1500 on their site and only $500 at my local Costco?

Kef Coda W are powered speakers like the Kanto. Nice choice of finishes. LSX II and LS50 II are full active cross over speakers with wi-fi and amplifiers in each speaker. Powered speakers have the electronics in the primary and a passive secondary. Amp is built for the speakers not a general amp for

Kef Coda W/LSX II LT vs Q150 with Wiim Ultra

I use the WiiM Ultra with the q150 and an svs sb1000 pro as my main setup, I think it sounds great and I love the customizability within the app. The room eq especially has been extremely beneficial to me, plus it allows for future upgrades. Keep in mind unless you're getting the WiiM Amp Ultra you

Question about which speakers to buy for my turnteble setup.

So, all those are passive speakers that require an amplifier to drive them, so you need to consider that, too. And because the Pro-Ject EVO 2 does not have a built-in phono preamplifier, you will need one, whether built into the amplifier or as a separate standalone phono stage. Of course, another o

Question about which speakers to buy for my turnteble setup.

The KEF Coda Ws are essentially powered Q1 Metas, with analog, digital, and phono inputs, plus Bluetooth (but not streaming), and a subwoofer output. Much of their value lies in their simplicity as an all-in-one system. Having passive speakers with a separate amplifier does give you some flexibility

Does anyone here have one of these?

Not sure if you have an amp already, but if not are the new powered Kef Coda W (200 watts) in moss green worth considering? I whipped this up for you. The satin green and matte black on both units appear to compliment each other quite nicely.

Klipsch The Sevens Alternatives

I would go with small towers such as Q Acoustics M40 or Triangle LN05A, JBL 4305P or Kef Coda W for bookshelves.

Speaker recommendations for Technics SL1500c?

The new KEF Coda W would work great in there with your Technics. Wiim Amp Ultra and Dali Kupid also seems to be a popular compact system option that would be perfect in a smaller room.

Opinions on back surrounds

If money is not a barrier, I think the LS50 would be great. Some might consider it overkill for surrounds, but I think its tonal neutrality (apart from a small dip in the upp-mid range) will match with the R7 pretty well. As for LSX II, I do fear its loudness may not be able to match the R7. It's a

Kef LSX II LT or Coda W

Not sure about discontinued, but i've seen a shift away from selling them via audiophile channels to mass sales via costco. whereas the LSX II are still selling at high cost audio-oriented sites, at 3x the price of the 'LT' version. I agree with you that the Coda have larger drivers, a larger cabine

I think it got lost in all of the other conversation but the new Coda W might be exactly what the OP is looking for: https://us.kef.com/products/coda-w?variant=50122868490487
