Play records in whole home?
Hey there! I just set up a new system for pretty much this exact purpose. Here's what I did: I bought the WiiM Ultra as the main "hub" of my system. My record player plugs into the Ultra. Since I already have an external pre-amp, I used the Line-In input, but the Ultra does have a "Phono" input jack

Need help deciding which cart to get.
The 2M Blue is plenty good for the Spinbase speaker unit. If you are looking for better sound then switch over to that pair of Kanto Ren! Then the AT-VM95ML is plenty good for the Kanto Ren https://www.audio-technica.com/en-us/at-vm95ml If you go for a speaker upgrade past the Kanto Ren to a great p

KC62 vs. LS50W2
I was personally pretty impressed with the REN, though Kanto doesn't specify they are a "bookshelf" speaker, rather a soundbar replacement. I found them to have a really wide soundstage along with fulfilling treble and good detail, they really immersed me and carried a warm sound profile. I think as

just got myself a new lightbar, love the thing.
Those Kefs look awesome. I wish I would have gotten them instead of the Kanto Rens. I do like the Ren though.

First setup advice needed
What Putrid-Table-S844 said. Early Linn Sondek LP12 can be had for around £1100 and could get every upgrade since if you have the odd 10k to spend on changing nearly everything. Always liked the Rega. They have offered a good range and worthy to benchmark against even if going for something differen

Help me understand volume control via optical cable
Some TV's have a setting for the TOSLINK output that allows you to choose whether it's always at 100% volume or if the TV volume control works. If you can get that working, then at least you can use your TV's remote. If you can't figure out a solution, then no matter what you get, be sure it support

can you suggest balanced speakers with bit bass heavy hit within 1000$?
Does that budget include DACs, Amps, an interface, etc? Or just the Speakers? For just speakers, Kali Audio IN-8 V2. Front ported and should play down to around 50 Hz. Can save for a subwoofer later. Otherwise maybe Kali Audio LP-6 V2 with a Topping DX5 II as your DAC / Pre-amp. Also has a solid hea

Kanto OBI3 vs AT-LP70XBT
If you are already looking for upgrades then buy the better turntable instead of the basic entry level turntable. E is £29 https://www.audio-technica.com/en-gb/at-vmn95e pass on the the non AT OEM options. The stock C stylus is good enough for entry level speakers that most people are using with ent
