Kali IN-5 vs Kali IN-8 in small room

From my experience, larger speakers always sound better. While the Kali IN5 and IN8 have similar low‑frequency extension on paper, the IN8 has significantly lower distortion. I’ve never bought into the idea that you have to match speaker size to room size — I’d always go bigger without hesitation. T

Help choosing speakers

I have IN8’s and mix cubes in my studio. Love both of them. I paired my IN8’s with a Kali sub as well which is a game changer. Fantastic setup for the price. That said, you really need to make sure your room is treated. I built my studio and hooked all of my stuff up to hear what it would sound like

Tempted to go from Dynaudio Lyd-7 to Kali IN8V2 monitors. Anyone to share their experience?

I do mix professionally in a very very small treated room with the IN 5, found out my mixes translated way better mixing with a pair of speakers with smaller woofer. I can't get a very clear response from low end as I would do with the IN 8s for example, but that's a price I am happily paying for re

What brand and model of speakers do you recommend for someone that wants to hear all music frequencies equally, I don't want bass draining out the mid and treble ranges? I want to hear music as it's recorded.

No stupid questions here, but here might not be the best place to ask it. r/audiophile might be better. One recommended powered speaker would be this: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/IN8v2--kali-audio-in-8-v2-8-inch-powered-studio-monitor Even better would be if you get a room measurement mi

Help choosing 5" studio monitors for a very small bedroom

You can’t go wrong with any of those choices. I’ve owned lots of nice monitors in over 30 years of recording (KRK, JBL, Genelec, ADAM) Tried a set of Kali IN-8 v2 (in a well-treated 7’ x 14’ room) and fell in love. Added an IK Arc (hardware) and my mixes have never translated so well. Absolutely end

Integrating Audiophile (ish) stuff with DJ set up

My setup is tube preamps into the UA Signature valve so the sound has a character to it. Not sure what the condesa is like but I hear its a warm mixer. Speaking from experience, listen to a range of speakers before you buy them. I've had bright, neutral and warm speakers and I know I don't like brig

Affordable 3-way monitors for mixing in 600 sq ft basement

I did a comparison for smaller 5 inch monitors as nearfields in my 300 sq ft home studio and compared Kali, Neumann, Dynaudio, jbl, genelec and I have to say the Kali sounded WAY better than they had any right to at the price point. We’re in the top two. I’m gonna bet the in-8 would be the same. I e

Looking for opinion/further recommendations.

Either you get : passive speakers and a preamp+amplifier, or powered speakers with a preamp Powered speakers are good value for smaller rooms or someone that doesn't listen too loud. If you want to keep it simple, you can get: Kali Audio IN-8 2nd Wave (800€) Wiim Ultra streamer/preamp (400€) Speaker

Active speakers for rotary mixer

Kali audio in-5 ( this is a v2 model anyway), or if u have a bigger room the in-8 v2 (the in8 had a older v1 model, the in5 was much newer). Its a very neutral speaker, you can boost the low end +2 db (aling with other minor tweaks via the dip switches). A very clean, neutral, and not ov3rly bassy s

Kali LP-6 v2's + sub (WS 6.2) or Kali IN-8 v2's Which is better for Home studio setup?

My room is ~16х10 ft and Kali Lp6v2 with sub works much better than 8inch monitors (krk rokit 8) But my room is acoustically untreated. Still I have better and satisfying results on Kali+sub. 8inchers are too much for that room because they need to be louder in comparison to kali6+sub and also becau
