Kali In-5 Vs Neumann KH80

ngl i've used both in untreated rooms and the kh80 are way more honest but brutally revealing. kali in5 are fun and forgiving for heavy bass music. if your room isn't treated, the kh80's ma1 calibration kit works magic - measures your room and adjusts the speakers. Neumann MA 1 comes as a bundle wit

Genelec 8030A vs Kali Audio in 5 for mixing in my room

Spinorama for Genelec 8030A Spinorama for Kali In-5 Trust your ears if you can hear both, they’re both great but I give a slight edge to Genelec. If you’re factoring cost, Kali is the winner.

Genelec 8030A vs Kali Audio in 5 for mixing in my room

Comparing the IN5s with the Genelecs is unfair, because a single genelec is almost twice the price of the IN5s. Still, if it's you first pair I would go for the IN5s and invest the rest of the budget on acoustic treatment if you haven't done so already. The IN5s are well balanced and are good purpos

Kali In-5 Vs Neumann KH80

KH80 is smaller and more expensive, but tonally very balanced for the size. IN5 is closer in size to the much more expensive KH120, but is a three way. You will get more speaker with less cost (and less pedigree) with the Kali. If I was choosing, I'd get IN5. If you can, listen for yourself in perso

TIL about Peter Belt, a British audiophile who sold unusual items that supposedly improved sound quality of hi-fi equipment, such as a £15 paper clip with paranormal properties. He also promoted various ideas to improve sound quality, such as freezing compact discs and only using white cables.

Genelec was literally just one example. My point is that there have been some breakout brands, like Kali Audio, that make insanely good speakers for the price. The IN-5 and IN-8s for example have a plethora of reviewers saying they prefer them over $1000 or even $2000 speakers.

Are any of you home audiophiles?

X32 Rack as a mixer running to a stereo pair of Kali Audio In5's with a mono Kali WS 6.2 sub. Plex server playing FLAC files only via the X32 USB connection. Technics 1200 (single) and a surprisingly nicely built Gemini rack mounted CD player. Basic, but sounds great in the space, and allows me to e

Speakers upgrade

Mkay - then I'd really not got with one of those. They are made to be used with their purpose built subs and alignment software. And those are made to do mixing on them - they're not fun. Also, with their subs and software it will be twice your budget. Whatever speaker you are going to go with - you

Subwoofer for dj practicing in the studio?

Look at the line of Kali Audio products. I have their In-5 studio speakers paired with their WS 6.1 subwoofer and its plenty for in studio listening and just popping off. Worth every penny.

Seeking Speaker Recommendations for "Near Field" Listening [USA, New, $1000-$1500]

For near field desktop listening, I’d look at the Kali unf and in-unf. If you’ve got the space, maybe the in-5. I use the in series for music production. If you’re used to the hd6xx, I think you’ll enjoy the studio monitor experience. Ditch the amp, but you can still use the dac and pre.

Bookshelf speakers

If it's for a battle station, then you're sitting in one place, so there's no need for 5.1. Surround sound was invented to compensate for different listening positions in movie theaters and couches. You can make all the same sounds with 2 well-aimed speakers for your 2 ears. If you're willing to go
