Focal Alpha, Adam Audio...
That’s bit small budget if you want to fill out your whole room. Usually that budget active studio monitors are intended for desktop usage (i.e. about arm’s length away). Like e.g. Kali Audio LP-UNF (EAC review) (Thomann listing). JBL or Adam active studio monitors could be slightly bigger in your b

Please help me understand the need for flat response headphones for bedroom mixing
Another issue is headphone mixers are sometimes too conservative with panning. Try this... Build up a strong mono mix with everything centered. Then at the end, pick just a couple or few elements and pan them out wide to the sides. That's all it takes to have a wide sounding mix. Here's a great vide

Looking for recommendations: are the KEF LS X II LT good for $500 CAD?
Just buy them. The only thing close that is an enclosed, no other expenses system that’s worth the money is Kali Audio LP-UNF. The other two options from KEF are not usually desk friendly at over 11” in depth. You’d have to have a WiiM Amp with room correction to effectively take the bass nulls and

Advice Needed: Near/Mid-Field Speakers under $700 Upgrading from Edifier MR4 (Active/Passive options)
Active studio monitors (like Kali Audio products) have boundary reinforcement switches. I.e. they have controls to lower the bass if you place the speakers near one or more boundaries (wall, desktop, corner, etc.). That’s not a feature you are going to find in passive speakers or many powered speake

i have been thinking about joining the audiophile lifestyle for some time but..
You might benefit from a pair of active speakers that are relatively good and cheap. Something like Adam D3V, Kali LP-UNF. I'm assuming that this will be something for computer? Those that take signal from PC via USB and require no amplifier purchase, DAC, or any other additional equipment, so this

First stereo Hi-Fi (kinda) setup
I don’t accept PM’s. (Well, technically Reddit doesn’t have them anymore anyway.) Chat requests are denied too. Anyway, picture wouldn’t tell me anything. All speakers don’t do well near a wall. But active studio monitors have compensation switches for that use case. (It lowers the bass response whe

Buying Flat Response Mixing Monitors.
kinda been there with a cramped corner studio. for a wardrobe setup the Kali Audio LP-UNF actually make the most sense since they're designed for nearfield listening. the JBLs are great but need more breathing room to sound right. the Kali 6.5s would probably be overkill and cause bass buildup in a

Speakers for my bedroom
oh nice, what do you mean for a streamer? A WiiM Pro with aesthetic damages, but fully functional. Pluses are: BT feature, but you’ll use Spotify Connect in the end, full quality with your mobile working as a remote on your wi-fi; RoomFit: with your mic’s phone (or a calibrated one attached to it) y
