Best studio monitors for under £300?
On Thomann you can get a pair of Kali Audio LP-UNF for just under 300 quid. I do want you to manage your expectations though. These are still budget monitors, without proper stands, in an untreated room, placed unideally. Don't expect anything great. If you want to hear the music in the room, and th

Speaker advice - $500 USD Budget - Argentina
I don’t know if there’s really any more “fun” sounding active/powered speakers in your budget. (My recommendations tend to be accurate or neutral sounding products. Maybe you can EQ the sound (on PC) to your liking, if you don’t like neutral.) These are $249 each (i.e. $498 for a pair) on Amazon: Ka

Best sound system for an audio-technica AT-LP3 (under $500-$750)
Ordinarily, I’d recommend active speakers for anyone with your budget who plans on a digital source like a streaming service (Spotify, Tidal or Qobuz). But because you want your primary source to be an Audio Technical turntable, you will need a preamp with a phono stage as well as active speakers. I

Looking for recommendations: are the KEF LS X II LT good for $500 CAD?
Just buy them. The only thing close that is an enclosed, no other expenses system that’s worth the money is Kali Audio LP-UNF. The other two options from KEF are not usually desk friendly at over 11” in depth. You’d have to have a WiiM Amp with room correction to effectively take the bass nulls and

Speakers for a laptop
$300 is not a lot for studio monitors, but there are still a few specific models that measure, and sound better, than their competition in your price range. I'm unsure if tariffs have driven up these prices at all, but the Kali Audio LP-UNF and Adam Audio D3V released at either $300 or $350 and are

Advice Needed: Near/Mid-Field Speakers under $700 Upgrading from Edifier MR4 (Active/Passive options)
Active studio monitors (like Kali Audio products) have boundary reinforcement switches. I.e. they have controls to lower the bass if you place the speakers near one or more boundaries (wall, desktop, corner, etc.). That’s not a feature you are going to find in passive speakers or many powered speake

Focal Alpha, Adam Audio...
That’s bit small budget if you want to fill out your whole room. Usually that budget active studio monitors are intended for desktop usage (i.e. about arm’s length away). Like e.g. Kali Audio LP-UNF (EAC review) (Thomann listing). JBL or Adam active studio monitors could be slightly bigger in your b

Please help me understand the need for flat response headphones for bedroom mixing
Another issue is headphone mixers are sometimes too conservative with panning. Try this... Build up a strong mono mix with everything centered. Then at the end, pick just a couple or few elements and pan them out wide to the sides. That's all it takes to have a wide sounding mix. Here's a great vide
