Advice on studio monitors for guitar and bass?
I have been using Kali Audio LP8 V1 for the last few years and they are great and come in under the budget. The V2 IN-8 would be an even bigger fuller sound. The front porting is great.

Looking for my first Monitors!
The Kali LP6 is an excellent choice, and you're right to go for the V2s. I have LP8 V1s, which I haven't felt the need to replace -- but they fixed a standing noise issue with the V2. Being your first monitors -- you're going to love them at first, and all will be well. But at some point you're like

Would smaller monitors cause less fatigue in a small room?
Hmm... I don't know that loudness by number, but are you just listening too loud? Could it be the wide range of frequencies, from the subs to the top end air frequencies that just overload your brain after a while? If so, I kind of get that... My monitoring situation isn't high end or anything, but

Desk listening, near field monitors? Kali LP-6? [Used, 300EUR, Germany]
The V1 Kali LP monitors had some issues. Most notably they supposedly had fairly high background hiss. (Fairly common issue with powered speakers. But fixed in the V2.) So, the new Kali Audio LP-6v2 (EAC review) (Thomann listing) are a rather excellent option at 416€ with new product warranty, etc..
