What do we need with a digitone 2 ?

Maschine mikro might be a bad move. Maschine goes with a specific software, its going to change his workflow quite a bit. Your idea is good, digitone + sampler is a great combo, but pairing 2 machines is an important decision. Maybe you should buy him a gift card in a music shop so he can choose wha

Editors, What kind of speakers are you using to mix audio with.

You can for sure get a pair of professionally-decent audio monitors for $300-$500 US. They won't be great and I wouldn't use them to finish audio for Netflix or whatever, but for most corporate work, YouTube, and lots of other stuff, there are a bunch of good options. Here's a slight edit of a post

Advice on studio monitors for guitar and bass?

I find Kali Audio LP-6 to be a good deal. They sound great, are built very well, front ported, have great adjustments on the back to fit your room and are geuinely not that expensive considering what they offer.

First Portable PA

Not a fan of the eon's either, personally. Is there a reason you're needing battery powered? Active studio monitors (like Kali Audio products) have boundary reinforcement switches. I.e. they have controls to lower the bass if you place the speakers near one or more boundaries (wall, desktop, corner, etc.). That’s not a feature you are going to find in passive speakers or many powered speake

How to stop buying DJ stuff

Yeah that sounds understandable. The Rokit 5's are not that flat so will give you some surprises regarding translation. You're probably never going to be able to replicate the club feeling in an apartment where you can't make too much noise, but you can upgrade a bit. For 2-way speakers it seems the

What is the best possible audio setup for iRacing

In that case a true 2.1 setup using an audio interface into something like kali audio lp6v2 monitor speaker and their bass system would likely blow out any surround sound system you could get.

Studio monitors as desktop speakers

People might see your comment better if you replied to the people directly. Or at least include their names (u/name). These are good, even here in Europe: Kali Audio IN-8v2 (EAC review) (Thomann listing) Kali Audio LP-6v2 (EAC review) (Thomann listing) (Note that price/unit is for one active studio
