Credibility of Mullvad for me as a whole
ProtonVPN loses in almost every category when it comes to privacy, and Switzerland cooperates with the 5 eyes on a regular basis. ProtonMail just last month got a guy arrested for something. And IVPN doesn't use RAM only servers, so between caching and needing an email it's a no go.

Why do I have to provide a server IP in order to use custom DoH or DoT?
Thank you for explaining. My knowledge in this area is limited. In this case, the IP address will allow IVPN to reach the server, but how does the URI come in to play thereafter? I am using Adguard's premium DNS plan, which provides device-specific query logs and custom rules. My DoH or DoT URI is c

worth updating?
I'll go into everyday vulnerabilities and not semantics then: https://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2017/Feb/14 ivpn has vulnerabilities like other software. Vulnerabilities are chinks in armor to be exploited. The software isn't magical--they find and fix exploitable bugs. You trust the disclosure an

Also, The Android client has a pause button whereas the iOS client does not. With Network protection, sometimes I want to pause the VPN connection but can't do t

Friendly Review of IVPN
Yeah but speed is not everything. When you want to bypass geo location restrictions virtual servers are shit. And on paper bare metal are faster and more secure. Problem is ivpn servers do not run on ram I think (yet?)

Blocked by lots of pages...
I've been using IVPN for about 2-3 years, and the past few months have been noticeably worse, re: about 20% of pages being blocked. I used to expect this with certain "types" of pages, like ones that have a ton of trackers or ad-riddled blogs. But it seems to be happening more frequently for me for

Custom DNS is now officially supported on iOS and macOS
"Stay safe" while not giving users the option to use the safer DoH protocol. Disappointing. You roped people into Ultimate plans with solid products and responsiveness but increasingly it feels like your users are largely ignored, all while gaslighting us into thinking the opposite. C'mon, please do
