Are the new Roombas better
Have upgraded from s9 to Max 705, and overall navigation is a massive improvement. Can’t stand the “recalibrating location to continue cleaning” that happens every time you start the bot using the buttons on bot - like, just start cleaning the area I placed you in already and figure out where you ar

max 10 combo vs 705 combo
Max 10 Combo kept running over pet mess, getting stuck on a mat, mopped very poorly (left water streaks everywhere), and ultimately stopped docking. It would just sit right in front of the docking station and if I put it back in, it would come out on it's own and sit there until the battery died. I

People who upgraded J9+ to 705 max - which one do you recommend?
I had the 705. To start with the good: it cleaned great imo. I have a long-haired dog. Doesn't shed, but takes a lot of mud, sand and leaves into the house. Roomba sucked it all up. mopping was good too. It does leave lines/streaks on the floor though (I have PVC flooring), but that doesn't bother m

Brand new 705 Max Combo won't connect to the app
After hours of messing with my Max 705 trying to get it to connect...turns out if you have a WiFi password with any special characters, it will not connect. I changed my WiFi password and removed a comma, and it immediately connected. The problem, though, is that I have 70+ devices connected to my W

Disappointed with Roomba Max 705 Combo – Wet Spill Detection Fails Miserably
Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately, it failed to react to a fairly large "spill" consisting of honey mustard dressing on the first run and coffee creamer on the second run. The first run was done in vac + mop "smart clean" mode and the second was vac + mop with high liquid, high suction, and smart s

Possible bug with 705 combo?
Same issue here. My 705 combo will not cross any carpeted area if it’s in mop only mode. It only appears to use the mop cover and traverse carpet when in Vacuum & Mop mode. I’ve seen a few other threads with the same issue so perhaps it’s something iRobot could fix with a software update!

Roomba decides not to mop carpet even tho it did before?
It should not mop carpeted surface or rugs regardless of what the job's map tells you. The map may look like it is doing mopping and vacuuming, but it really just shows where the Roomba cleaned during a Vac and Mop or Vac then Mop job. If your 400 series WAS getting rugs and carpets wet before, it m

Roomba 505 matter issue
I think the Matter implementation on these is half-baked, at best. I had a time trying to get a 705 max added to Apple Home and when I finally did, it changed the name of my room labeled “hallway” to “corridor” and spends a lot of time showing “Updating”. Seems like when I tap the option to locate t

Roomba Max 705 schedule not working
I’m experiencing the same issue with my Max 705 Vac. In my case, the scheduling is unreliable: it randomly skips runs whenever there are two automations set for the same start time but on different days. These automations handle different rooms. Today, several room names on my map temporarily change

I'm looking to buy 705 Combo, is there anything I need to know?
Sorry for the late response but just got a 705 combo today. Does the app no longer tell you a count of dirt events triggered or show you pictures object obstacles encountered? The roomba seems to do a better job cleaning but the app stinks (from what I’ve seen)
