Roomba i3+

I'm so angry at my stupid $400 Roomba. It has NEVER mapped my house successfully, and hasn't even made it out of its room in a year. Good suggestiion, I haven’t tried cleaning the base station IR sensors. But I thought they would activate when it’s time for roomba to go home (turns the ring blue), not when it’s cleaning. I have a similar issue that I was just coming here to ask about -- I just purchased a renewed i3+ that works fine re: mapping/scheduling/vacuuming, but as soon as I close the app it forgets it. It still works fine according to the schedule, and when I go re-add it to wifi it still sees the robot but

You're right, OP is also right, I'm one of them stuck in between with an i3+, there's a ton of people at home with dogs all the time, that I can't send it for a mapping run, but that hour I get when everyone's outside? Charlie will over analyze the corner where I kept an umbrella, and it's just gone

I think it's the curved glass wall that throws the I3+ for a loop. It doesn't seem to believe a wall might not be perpendicular and in a straight line, much less semi-transparent. Do you have any similar challenges? I've had several Roombas, but this environment is a challenge for the I3.
