Small room / desk against wall — which speakers/monitors should I buy?
Honestly for that room size + without acoustic treatment, i'd go for IK multimedia iLoud MTM mkii. Includes their arc mic and arc X software for acoustic self calibration. Pop those in and you're good to go. Minimally I would treat the room to reduce reverberation time decay. Any extreme standing wa

Small room / desk against wall — which speakers/monitors should I buy?
Of the speakers you mentioned, I would probably advise against any rear-ported speakers like the T5V or HS5 - though I am a total Adam fan. I would suggest to check out the Adam D3V or IK Multimedia iLoud micromonitor. I believe they are in your budget and come with built in DSP for room correction.

iLoud vs Adam Audio D3V vs NS10 and Mordaunt
There was an old studio concept of having 3 sets of monitors which evolved as something of a standard. Mains - which tended to sound good and have a wide range, plenty of bass etc - and you used these to check the overall mix balance, impact and 'vibe'. Mid range - smaller bookshelf monitors used fo

Any recommendations for a small center monitor speaker for a 5.1 home studio setup?
Very clean looking setup! Ideally you'd want the same monitors for your LCR but pulling your desk out and placing another Adam behind the monitor would take away a good chuck of the little space you have. The IK Multimedia iLoud micro would probably fit under the monitor pretty well. You could also

Genelec 8030A vs Kali Audio in 5 for mixing in my average room
if the price is similar I might be leaning 8030A, but if the IN5 are much cheaper id say just save the money and maybe put it towards an ARC room correction unit or iLoud Sub to have some Room EQ, I used to own the IN5's and currently use 8341A's, id say if I had to work on the IN5's I could work ju

500€ Budget for Producing Devices
Ok, I didn’t get that you already got monitors. iLoud are small and pretty cheap but still kind of high end monitors from ik multimedia with room correction kit. I got a novation midi controller to my travel setup. Not their premium stuff. It’s ok. Nothing jaw dropping, but ok for the price and quit

Built a studio. Started a retrowave project
Thanks a lot! Yes balancing family and music is a puzzle. Now I can do it more frequently when the kids are sleeping 😀 I use FL Studio as my primary DAW. My hardware includes the Roland Boutique JU-06A for analog-style pads and the Arturia MicroFreak for versatile digital textures. I control everyth

Upgrading monitors - the sea never parted for me. Did they part for you?
Let me try to consider your price range (from a quick google search, might vary depending on where you live):KH80 used/new (580€ / 960€)KH 750 used / new (930€ / 1500€)So we are roughly talking about 1500€ - 2500€ I heard a ton of people rave about the Kali IN-8, haven't heard the myself but they ar

Studio monitors for casual music enjoyment
For 800 there is a lot of mid level choices. I would recommend Dynaudio LYD-5 or LYD-7 or Focal Alpha EVO 65 or Yamaha HS 8. And add IK multimedia ARC studio to use automated room correction.Or you can take IK Multimedia iLoud MTM MKII monitors - those come with internal room correction and have cor

is it really such a difference when you put your monitor speakers away from ur wooden table on stands?
Actually let me revise that. When I take the bass cut off my iLouds and played Kanye West's 808s and Heartbreak there definitely IS a difference between on a desk and isolation pads because it has such dramatic bass. I think I am so used to rock music it's hard to even recommend anything to people w
