I heard the opposite. Cloud 2 being more bassy and Cloud 3 S being more the neutral "audiophile" frequency. If you haven't, recommend to firmware update via NGENUITY non-beta and set EQ there. Around that price you should check out these 3 wireless headsets from cheapest to the most expensive. HyperX Cloud 3s Wireless, Fractal Scape and the Audeze Maxwell. Those 3 are very competitive to an “audiophile headphone” plus the perks of it being wireless having a mic and bluetooth capabilities.
