I heard the opposite. Cloud 2 being more bassy and Cloud 3 S being more the neutral "audiophile" frequency. If you haven't, recommend to firmware update via NGENUITY non-beta and set EQ there. Hyper x is complete shit since being purchased by HP. Had a Kingston pair of cloud II wireless side by side with a HP cloud II wireless and the sound quality was night and day. Don’t waste your money on this brand anymore
