Oh god do you even know something about laptops or PCs in general? Comparing solely on the basis of vague stuff like “Battery life” “performance” shows you don’t. I have an HP Victus 16 GB 2080 Ti (pretty low specs) from the last 5 years and it still hasn’t frozen or lagged a second in those 5 years

Gaming + programming laptop around $1600? no clue what to get
I don't think you need to overthink it within this budget. For gaming and programming, the most logical combination is already an RTX 4070 + 32GB RAM. If I were you, I'd just get the HP Victus 16 (i7-13700H, RTX 4070, 32GB RAM). It will give you peace of mind for a long time and won't disappoint in
