Don't get the hori mini! It's so small you will be disheartened from fight stick all together if that would be your first experience. Try to find hori rap 4 used, it should be similar price if not cheaper, I got it for 70$

There are some budget arcade sticks I'm aware of: Hori fighting stick mini, Mayflash F500, 8bitdo arcade stick. I'm not sure how easy they are to mod but they should be decent for under $100. Also adding on to this, because it matches my experience: there's a lot more leverless options in the budget and midrange price brackets. Outside the hori mini, getting a stick is really expensive, but you have tons of options for leverless.
