Which hhkb should I buy?
The newer HHKBs (classic/hybrid) have much better build quality than older generations and the hybrid can be easily reprogrammed. The classic can be reprogrammed as well but not straight out of the box. If you want a more quiet experience go for the type-S. If you are open to buying used modded HHKB

Long time custom MX user, first time custom Topre user.
I personally had no issues reassembling the board where it introduced weird, undesirable quirks. This is mostly an issue with Pro 2 cases. Hybrid / Classic cases are designed a bit differently and have been overall improved from a noise perspective, so it's less noticeable if something is a μm misal

DAO Keyboard HHKB
This, I type on the new DAO keyboard with the HHKB layout, and boy is it a quiet board. This is the quietest keyboard I have ever had. It feels really great to type on and I really quite like the distinct thock the space bar and enter keys make. The normal keys are more high pitched in sound, but de

Just got an ortholinear mechanical keyboard; should I stick with it?
The most superior AND hipster condescending keyboard is a silenced HHKB with blank keycaps. I adore my Classic Pro 2 wirh modded BT daughterboard and it's the best typing experience out there despite the dumb layout that they refuse to change.

Need help buying the right board
I’ve been in the keyboard hobby for a while and I ended up with three HHKBs (a Classic mod with Deskey pink v3 and silencing rings, plus a Hybrid Type-S in Snow, a pro 2). It actually took me three attempts before I really started to enjoy Topre. The stock OEM 45g domes felt a little heavy at first,

Long time HHKB owner, first time lubing, questions to never lube folks
Lube is 100% required to keep a HHKB sounding and feeling like when you first purchased it. HHKBs dry out after years of use. Ppl forget what they feel and sound like new. An unlubed HHKB sounds much louder and has more friction. After lube you’ll remember the classic feel and sound (thock) and how

please help me decide
I have hybrid type-s and unsilenced pro 2 which should be similar to unsilenced classic. The type-s has more enjoyable sound for me. But I don't like the new centered legends on the classic type-s. So ultimately it comes down to legends vs sound for your options. If you don't mind the legends, get t
