anyone else's back just completely wrecked from sitting all day? like wrecked?

So I am a commercial interior designer and space planner for local government and am responsible in part for specifying and procuring office furniture for the various departments in my building. Frequently we have staff with lower back pain who need a special chair to help alleviate it. The chair I

Whats something you brought that has cost "nothing" based on how much you use it.

Things that are on the pricey side but worth spending it for because of amount of use and longevity:* Herman Miller chairs. Had an Aeron for 15 years before it was time for something new (still have it as a spare) and upgraded to the Cosm* Original Switch, TV console plus handheld for travel is an abs

Finding ergonomic / gaming chairs for 6ft+ tall people

I'm 6'2, I've got the herman Miller cosm high back, I like it, it's comfortable but I'm always swiping at my cat who wants to get my attention by putting his claws in my back... Before this i had an aeron for 16 years. And I've had the cosm for 10. Price wise I think they are worth it. But that's ju

After 6 years I upgraded my gaming chair!

Well, maybe just don't buy a box with a picture of chair on it. Go to a decent shop where you can test the chair before you buy one. And don't just sit and standup 5 seconds later. Sit for at least 5 minutes, more is better. And move while sitting, just like you would normally. It's not like one cha

You can call if there’s a specific chair you are wondering if they have in stock before making the trip. No returns so check it over for defects e

Chair recommendations for WFH

Well, came to recommend a Herman Miller. I just can’t imagine you can find something better for her back with that budget. Admittedly I don’t love the style of the Aeron myself either. I prefer the flexible approach of the Cosm. I have degenerative disc disorder, and during ā€œflair upsā€ my Cosm is th

Anyone else cheaped out on something and paid the price later?

Cute furniture is my biggest vice 🄲 I oftentimes have the opposite regret - spent too much on a piece of designer furniture when I could have gotten a comparable option on Amazon or something. That said, I agree that a sturdy office chair is totally worth it, especially if you work from home a lot.

Some of the things sold on FB marketplace…

Herman Miller and Steelcase are two companies that make chairs that are actually worth the cost to re-upholster, especially if it's only the seat. I'm happy that my Herman Miller Cosm is entirely mesh, like the Aeron.

As a full-time gamedev, is it worth investing $300+ for a good gaming chair?

The Herman Miller Cosm pretty much saved my back after years of cheap desk chairs.
