Hannspree HannsNote2 review: VERY BAD Wi-Fi, VERY GOOD SCREEN

Yeah. I think the Wi-Fi for the Hannsnote2 is the worst I've seen in the past 10 years, although it has a good screen like you say. The Hannspree Ambi tablet is another 10 inch which is meant to have upgraded specs, but who knows when it will be released.

Which 7-10 inch Android tablet is recommended to read e-books and apps, 60hz, no blue light?

10" HannsNote2 and 7.8" Harborinno Paper 7. Both are outdoor tablets, usable indoors near window, but not in dark rooms. There are couple of Hannspree tablets with fronlight in pipeline, also 10" and 7.8", might be available in Q3. HannsNote2 successor without frontlight is also in pipeline as well

Did anyone decide to keep their Hannsnote 2?

We will have more tablet options eventually, from Hannspree, SvD and Eazeye. My main concern is lack of security updates, devices are launched and then forgotten. Hannspree, Harborinno and SvD at least bother to get Google Play certification, something earlier RLCD tablets from TCL, Hisense and Eyem

What is the optimal Lux level for SVD 32" RLCD?

Old 32" SvD had 9% reflectance, news 24" SvD 12% and Eazeye 23.8" monitor 19%. Hannspree used to recommend at least 500 Lux for Hannsnote2 tablet (panel has 21% reflectance) and 1000 Lux for Hybri (expected to be in 11-14% range). That sounds about right for those devices and is not far from 100nits

Hannsnote 2 or Paper 7?

Hannsnote2 has larger and higher resolution panel, but slower RK3566 SoC, small battery and Android 13 without recent security patches. If you plan to get it from Amazon, then Hannspree's German and UK stores might be a better option instead of US reseller that sells it for double price. Paper7 is o

Best Device for Note Taking and Reading Papers? E-Ink vs RLCD?

I don't think there is a perfect device for your use case. I read academic papers on a rather old Fujitsu Quaderno A4. It has a plastic screen and therefore is light. Note taking is excellent and the PDFs display well. At night it is easy to use a lamp. I tried a Hannsnote2 but could not get it to w

Hannsnote 2 or Paper 7?

The screen is brighter than used in Hannsnote2 tablet, I believe due to the brighter polarizer (not sure if it's the polarizer that's brighter). As for Harborinno company I have to agree, but it's quite common that a not well known company provides good products in RLCD market (Eazeye for example),

Is e-ink right for me?

There are RLCD devices which have full functionality and colour and are brilliant outside on the sun. They are not so good inside. Hannspree is supposed to be bringing out a new model this autumn with a front-light. Their existing Hannsnote2 is in your budget. I bought one and returned it because it
