Had the previous-gen Subterra 21, sold it because the functional capacity felt way less than advertised. Replaced it with a Gregory Rhune 22 and use this as my daily office bag and have travelled with it. Might suit your needs: Easily stows under airplane seat as your personal item. Separate admin c

Look at the Gregory Rhune. Comes in several sizes. I have the 22L and love it.

I love my Gregory Rhune 22; I use it for work and for my PhD, carry two laptops, coffee, lunch, book or two, and a pair of gym clothes. It was sub $150 and it’s super comfortable, walk with it about 2-4 miles a day.

I feel like I have to preface this with the following: I am definitely not a paid reviewer or commenter. Check out the Gregory Rhune series. Another commenter recommended it here as well. They don't spend as much on their marketing and influencer reach but they make solid packs. They have a level of

I have reaearched this for months. I won't go into details why, but the gregory rhune would be my choince for all of the above, except it doesnt open duffle style. You can check deuter travel pro 30l for dufle with straps but its larger and not as comfy

I’ve been looking at the rework toshi - there are a lot of videos on it but it’s not in stores so haven’t seen it in person. It looks like it has a lot of what you are looking for. Except, it may be on the small side for if you want to take a couple days of clothes. Price point is just under $200. I

I’m in the same situation as you and I’m also hesitating about buying the Thule Subterra 21L. I work in a corporate environment and it seems like a perfect fit for that. As someone else already mentioned, the Gregory Rhune 22L might be a good alternative, but for me it looks a bit too outdoorsy. I’m

I second this. If you have an REI near you (or any B&M retailer/luggage shop) go with your laptop and with everything else you will pack it out with daily. I recently went to REI to get hands on with a highly recommended Osprey as a daypack (didn’t like it at all) and ended up with a Gregory Rhune,
