Action 4 still holds up
Bought myself the OA4 standard pack with last Black Friday.There was already lot of criticism about the 5 vs the 4, that the 5 showed less detail. Comparing the 6 vs 5 dit also not convince me a lot. Battery life is just a commercial trick by lowering bitrate on the 5 (for that probably less detail)

Looking for a decent camera on a budget to take milky way timelapse at campsites that can double as an action-vlog-cam during the day
Best bet would be an action cam, either Hero12 black or Osmo Action 4, but non are super impressive at astro - here is a video of done with a GoPro and Osmo Action . Your budget would aim at DSLRs, but those cameras are not good for video / action stuff + there is a cost of the lens too. Another con
