Filming storage for tournaments?

Storage is cheap - get a 256 or 512 GB card and don't worry about having enough space. For reference, I shoot at 4K/30FPS on the drone and use about 30-40GB per game (pausing between points to save editing time). You can check out a chart like this one to give you a sense of how much you'll need for

Best parts of my bike commute through Chicago

Sure thing. GoPro Hero 12 Black 5.3k 10bit 16:9 30fps | Linear Hypersmooth On Honestly the quality on streamable is pretty bad since free videos have to be under 250MB. So I had to scale it down to 720p to make the file small enough. Youtube link has better quality but even that is still a bit compr

Unintentionally raced the CTA brown line

Gopro Hero 12 Black. The footage looks much better than that clip demonstrates. Using free Streamable so it's 720p resolution and compressed to hell.

My little buddy, normally a bit of a "my pace slowpoke" 😂, wanted to run today 😁

GoPro Hero12 Black! First time using it and absolutely loved it. I have the camera on a strap around my neck, and then I put my backpack straps over that to keep everything snug & no bouncing.

New Diver GoPro Setup

I’ve done a total of eight dives. I’m using a GoPro Hero 12 Black with the clear protective housing and the floating hand grip. I only have dived to about 60 feet and my videos all look amazing. Both of us should be focusing on improving our diving skills instead of making sick edits but this works

Best Way To Record?

I feel this a lot. You don’t want to miss the moment just to record it. Honestly, the issue isn’t really the gear, it’s how you’re using it. If you try to capture everything, you’ll always feel stuck behind your phone. What helped me was setting simple rules. I only take a few short clips at each pl

Action 4 still holds up

Bought myself the OA4 standard pack with last Black Friday. There was already lot of criticism about the 5 vs the 4, that the 5 showed less detail. Comparing the 6 vs 5 dit also not convince me a lot. Battery life is just a commercial trick by lowering bitrate on the 5 (for that probably less detail)

Best place to get a video camera?

Been doing a ton of recording with the GoPro Hero 12 Black this year and it really does a lot. It can shoot in 1080 and 4K. Also a bunch of settings that you can tinker with - e.g. time lapse, night shots w/ high exposure, etc. The media mod upgrade has a pretty decent mic, and the standard one it c

Looking for a decent camera on a budget to take milky way timelapse at campsites that can double as an action-vlog-cam during the day

Best bet would be an action cam, either Hero12 black or Osmo Action 4, but non are super impressive at astro - here is a video of done with a GoPro and Osmo Action . Your budget would aim at DSLRs, but those cameras are not good for video / action stuff + there is a cost of the lens too. Another con

Camera for intra-operative teaching

Check out GoPro HERO12 Black or HERO11. It has 4k support and live streaming via WiFi or HDMI should be easy. Of course you’ll need a head mount for it.
